Um, I think you're moving a bit too fast. And I've already dealt with enough fanimators to tell you this. Before you do anything such as casting. Build your characters, write your story, finish it, and then work on creating an animation. I cannot tell you how many times in the past I auditioned for original animations, got a part, and then the project went nowhere. I also don't buy, "I'm not gonna cancel this". Creating an original animation series takes a lot of time, dedication, blood, sweat, and tears.

The fact that you haven't even started or gotten used to drawing the characters tells me you're not ready. Shows like Gurren Lagann, Bleach, or Sailor Moon went through a hell of a lot of planning: character designs, redesigns, background, plot, setting, rewrites, redos, the works. You can't just draw a dude with a huge sword and say, "This will be my anime."

I'm sorry if I sounded harsh, but I've seen way too much of this kind of stuff fall on its face because it tried to run before it could even crawl, let alone walk.

I'd say it would be a challenge to voice all the characters. You would have to have a very good range to make sure the characters sound distinct. If you ever second-guess anything, it's best to look for people to help you with voice acting.

Um, I'm sorry. I've never made an abridged series and actually don't plan too. So I really wouldn't know how to go about giving tips for something I've never done. >_<

I'll have to say, that even if you think your voice isn't great. Someone else will. I never thought my voice would be any good for stuff. Yet, I auditioned for anything I thought would suit my voice and be fun. As time passed, people wanted me to be in stuff, I met TheAzureCrow and I got into almost all of his stuff, and through connections and word of mouth, I got the honor of voicing for LittleKuriboh. It would have never happened if I had just given up and decided not to give voice acting a try.

I've actually gotten some pretty nice comments from people. But thank you for the kindness. I'm not really that big a fan of TFS, but I do hope to work with LK again. It was fun!

If you feel you have a good enough range to voice EVERY character in your animation, then by all means go for it. But as soon as you start to second guess whether your voice will fit a character or not, that's when looking for other voice actors is recommend. Also, when looking for voice actors, make sure they have a good record in terms of recording and handing in lines.
