I don't get much time on the net anymore...and when I do, I am always working on my website (www.squeakmachine.com). I do tend to update the blog on my website more often, so check there once in awhile if I haven't posted on SG in quite some time. Honestly, Suicide Girls is my absolute favorite social networking site. I love the members, the layout, all the options....so if I am going to spend time online, it is going to be there!
I have a new set in Review right now:

I HIGHLY recommend Pole by Patricia:
      http://polebypatricia.com/

I have not taken classes there myself, but I work closely with one of the instructors employed there. (We are doing doubles routines together.) I am often there to meet up with her after class and I have watched some of them. The studio is really nice; the best in Philly as far as set-up goes. The classes are also very well organized. Many studios just do a "free for all" approach to learning...which I don't feel is always the best way. Pole by Patricia teaches you a little routine each class and gives you some free time to practice.
Plus, Patricia is friggin amazing...and so sweet!

      The site has one: http://www.myspace.com/179937934

My assistant, Vanessa, keeps it up-to-date. I do not use my personal one anymore. My website keeps me too busy to keep up with social networking sites. :(

My scars are really tiny and very hard to see. Most people who try to look at them closely actually have trouble finding them. So I'd say they have healed rather well. :)
My advice, follow your doctors orders! Use the ScarGuard, use the Bio-Oil, whatever he recommends. Keep up with it!
Once my scars were somewhat healed, I used Retinol gel on them (my boyfriend gets Retin-A prescriptions from his dermatologist). I also had two treatments of laser therapy. It is pretty cheap ($100 per treatment) and most surgical spas have a couple different laser treatments that flatten and fade scars. You just have to ask which one they recommend. The laser treatment made the scars fade completely. Sooooo worth the money!

Hmmm....competitive? No, I don't think so. Most of our work is different enough from the other's that we really don't step on each other's toes very much. For example, I work closely with my best friend Michael when it comes to writing. We don't run into many problems because our writing styles and the projects we take on are so different.
When it comes to fashion and DIY, I don't run into many issues there either. Soni and I tend to unknowingly buy or make very similar clothing and jewelry at times and we actually get quite a kick out of how we never do it knowingly. We just really do like a lot of the same things! My other friends have pretty different tastes and don't like exactly the same things I do.
As for modeling...I don't know many other models who actually make much of an income from modeling personally...so I have not had to compete with friends for paid work before.
      Which is good!

Write. Oh my...yes. The computer I use mainly for writing is situated next to a large box window that looks out into my front yard. The greatest thing in the world for me is to get completely lost in my work while occasionally staring out at the rain and the trees outside. I wish that I could do it every single day.

I am always a skeptic when it comes to pretty much anything. But especially that which deals with "holistic" foods and medicines. Kombucha, to some degree, falls within that category but I feel it has enough scientific evidence to back it up. Do I really believe it can prevent cancer, or improves your eyesight, or energizes the mind? Not really.
But! It has a similar culture in it as yogurt does and we all know that is good for digestion and overall intestinal health. Also, most brands are FULL of vitamin B which increases your metabolism and gives you a ton of energy.
There is also a lot of other good stuff in it too. So there is no denying, it is an extremely healthy drink and it does improve your mood and energy level greatly. Also, you don't have to wait long to feel its "kick". Drink about half a bottle and you will find you have a sort of "tipsy" feeling....sort of relaxed but very focused and energetic.
I love love love GT's Kombucha. There is a reason that brand does so well. It has the best "kick" and the flavors are really amazing.

I only use DE dreads. But I like to have really really BIG hair. Maybe years down the line, I might want a tamer, more natural looking style...in that case, I would go with the Single Enders.

Would you believe it?...I have actually never even owned a pair of jeans before!
I have never really been able to work them into my "style". I don't wear a lot of pants to begin with and jeans have just never really appealed to me. Hmmmm....I keep thinking that I ought to give them a try sometime. I dunno...

    12. Squeak

Hahaha! I friggin love this question. :D
Yeah, it is elastic. You can't always see it because many times I make loop holes on the inside of the leg warmers/arm warmers and run the elastic through them. So the elastic is hidden inside. I normally only make about three loop holes so it is tough to spot the seams that connect them to the fabric.
I shall have to do a tutorial on this sometime soon. Maybe I'll work on it tomorrow and try to get it up on the site for the next update. It would be easier to explain it with pics or video.

Thanks! Hmmm....I usually give everything that interests me a try but there is a ton of stuff I wish I had more time for. For example:
      - Wine (I'd love to memorize good vintages and really know it better without having to look stuff up)
      - Language (I'd love to be fluent in more than just English and German. I took French in High School and College....wish I had learned it better though.)
      - Kombucha (I'd love to study it and get really good at brewing my own)
      - Astrophotography (I dabble in it but I would love to be able to invest time and money into it properly)
      - Nature Centers (I'd love to do some volunteer work and help to rehabilitate injured wild life)
      - Knitting (Would love to get better at it. Right now I can only do leg warmers and scarves and easy things)
      - Farming (I hope to one day own an Alpaca farm...and maybe have some chickens as well)
      - Gaming competitions (I'm very competitive and I'm a fast learner. I think that if I had more time, I would definitely try out for the Frag Dolls)

errr....there is so much more but I am running out of time to answer Formspring questions so I must move on to the next one! :)

Boiling. Hands down, the best way to get that clumpy natural look to your DEs.
Make sure you backcomb your dreads really well. Since you aren't twisting them as you boil them, they need to be really solid and knotty. (Wear gloves!) Use tongs to dip them into a pot of boiling water. You can let them float in there a bit. Then pull them out and either hang them to dry or lay them out on a towel.
If they seem loose or feel like they can easily be pulled apart, you didn't backcomb them enough. No matter, wait till they are dry and backcomb/boil them again.
      Good luck!

      Hi there!
Yes, I go to San Diego at least once a year. Normally I stay within the GasLamp district as it is closest to the convention center. I shall have to check out this North Park place. ;)
I enjoy all sorts of world domination monologues. Brain's are actually quite good despite his frequent failings at carrying them out.

    16. Squeak

Thanks. Hmmm....I am not really a "wild" type of person. But I do tend to get quite excitable at Comic book Conventions, playing DDR, or going up against a good MTG deck.
I don't get wild or hyper or anything like that out in public. I am waaaaay too uncomfortable around large groups of people or strangers. But when I am playing around at home with my close friends, I have been known to be quite silly and crazy though. ;)

    17. Squeak

I'm not uncomfortable with nudity...so that helps! I am not your typical American though. I was not raised in such a way that I have let this country's early Puritan ideals taint my feelings toward nudity or sexuality. Honestly, it amazes me that centuries later, those ideals have still had such an impact on our beliefs and behavior.
Nudity is commonplace in acting, modeling, and many other art forms. Even the most distinguished actors (*ahem*..Alan Rickman) have done full frontal nude scenes. It really isn't a big deal when you think about it. And it certainly doesn't make them any less respectable or talented.

    18. Squeak

I have not yet attended a Convention in another country. Usually when I travel out of the country, it is for historical research purposes only. (I do study and teach classes on early period textiles from India.)
However, it is certainly a possibility! I have quite a bit of travel planned this year and next. I may be able to work in some Conventions.

    19. Squeak

      Yeah, sort of!
9 out of 10 times, we have our meetings at Jone's restaurant in Philadelphia. So I guess that could be considered SMHQ. ;)
