I've had to deal with a few situations like this before.

The first time a boyfriend kept in touch with his ex girlfriend from a few years back. In the beginning I was cool with it because they remained good friends. He kept in touch with quite a few people from when he lived in Ohio. When he decided to visit her in another state (and not invite me) was the beginning of the end for us.

Another time I was the one talking with a guy that I had feelings for while I dated another guy. Once I realized how fucked up that was I stopped seeing my boyfriend. I didn't see the point in staying in a relationship while being close to a guy I really liked. My head was all jacked up.

Both times felt like cheating. It was the emotional attachment that bothered me.

If you have to ask these questions while you are in a relationship with someone then you probably are emotionally cheating. You can still have friends but once you start putting more time and energy into the other one you've probably crossed the line. Reassessing and being honest with yourself is always a good thing.

I just reread the questions. I didn't actually answer any of them. Whatever.
