I guess I would use it to make everyone sympathize with depression, since it's one of the most misunderstood things in the world, and to make people realize how awful it is.

Anyone who doesn't ask for super intelligence has MEAT-FOR-BRAINS. Think about giving your pet rampaging death powers before you consider it. Anyways, think about all the possibilities of a super intelligent pet sidekick. You can also make it talk as an added bonus :)

The world population. To me, overpopulation is going to become an overwhelming uncontrollable problem, so I'd reduce it to a number around the millions. I guess I would also merit a life-sparing button before I kill almost everyone off.
