To be specific: Black Lab or Black Lab / Golden Retriever mix (I had one). And for last meal, it probably would involve a thick steak, medium-rare, with this one Hawaiian salt rub, and a perfectly cooked baked potato. Of course, if it's my last meal, I'd probably make it as big as possible to get a couple extra minutes. ;)

I'm willing, but first that would involve me remembering such a time. I like to think that in tough times I've led by example, but there are plenty of times I haven't. I've been told randomly (and sometimes anonymously) that I've inspired people, and that's what I most prefer. Being inspiring isn't about recognizing you're attempting to inspire; it's about doing your best well enough that someone else notices. I've been thankful to feel that way a few times.

Generally speaking, yes. I tend to like 99.9% of people I meet / know. There's always something worth liking.

Hard to pick -- it's been a hell of a summer! Tons of work accomplishments, I'll be getting a new car in two weeks, I'm dating an absolutely fantastic girl, and I just took some initiative to free up my free time and get some sanity back. I feel good and like I've got myself together on all fronts for the first time since I don't know when. :)

The feeling of discovery. As we get older, we amass more knowledge. As we know more, there's less to discover. I remember an age when everything seemed new, and am constantly trying to get back to that place.

Too many people have been too kind to count. However, the first thing that popped into my head was a time when a girl I was dating in high school set up an entire scavenger hunt for me on valentine's day -- each place a thing she'd remembered / known about me. At the end of the day, she gave me a box filled with adjectives that she thought described me. Though the relationship didn't work out, it is possibly one of the nicest things that's happened to me in my life.

Absolutely, but I think I see them differently now. "The best way to succeed is to double your failure rate." Given the choice, I would have done plenty of things completely differently, but life doesn't give us mulligans, so I try to stop wasting time regretting and just get right to fixing. However, a quote from a song does come to mind: "So when I find myself old and unworthy, I think about all of the things I learned / from the fine, fine women with nothing but good intentions and a bad tendency to get burned."

See, the thing is, for me when someone asks this, the problem isn't that I can't think of something. It's that it comes back all at once, a flash of dozens of moments, a feeling of experience that is the summation of all of that. I could rattle off lists of them, but could never pick just one lest I do injustice to the others.

Wow -- that's an intense "what-if". For starters, I don't think I would have truly discovered what is one of biggest passions (if not the biggest) in life: singing / acting. I also discovered a community of people who enrich my life to this day. I also distinctly remember 8th grade being a lonely, isolated year for me. Getting the opportunity to involve myself in that program set me on a much better path personality-wise, I believe.

I think "stepped up" might be pushing it a little though; more like "meekly decided to wing it." However it happened, though, 7-8 years and 15+ shows later I still consider it one of the best decisions I ever made, hands down.

This is one of the most awesome and humbling messages I've ever received, and what I truly think is one of the greatest compliments that can be bestowed. I'm not sure who you are, but I can guarantee I've likely learned from you, too. I don't often think about these things, and this stopped me in my tracks. I really only hope to keep doing whatever it is that inspires. However, I'm sure the way that you see things is pretty kickass as well. Thanks for giving me my own much-needed inspirational push; this really warmed me to the core.

I'd like to be part of a small business or company that is making money and doing something good with it. I'd like to be stable, planning long-term, and I'd like to have enough extra laying around so I can take on new projects with reckless abandon. I want to be making things happen.

Aww, thanks! I did that for my friend Aly. Would have liked to turn it into more of a fundraiser too, but getting the song done was work enough at the time. Really makes me feel good to hear that though, thanks again! :)

Always, but that's part of the fascination of life. Sometimes, though, I remember to take a step back and tell myself "you just gotta roll with it". Que Sera, Sera!

Hard to pick top 3. Lots of positive moments. First three that come to mind:

      1) I won an essay contest in middle school and got to shadow the CEO of PNC Bank for a day. My grandmother attended the award brunch. I remember how proud she was of me.

      2) An amalgamation of all of my family's meals together. We're hilarious and I love that feeling.

      3) The day I found out I was going to college.
