I used to model up until I was around 22. I have an online portfolio but made it private as I really wanted to make a name for myself in the industry in other ways :-) x
-
Hey, I've wrote about it here doll http://www.saraluxe.com/2012/02/behind-my-eyes.html?m=1

For my buying job? No I didn't take a portfolio. I don't know what you would take in a buying portfolio as I can imagine it would be hard to show your work. I had to do some tests ( maths etc ) in the interviews though :-)
-
I have had like 7/8 jobs! Everything from issuing farmers with passports to their cows, working in Argos, bar work, Topshop... Then I went to Uni and studied Fashion buying ( whilst working at Topshop ) was a buyer for 2 years whilst doing some styling on the side and now I'm here :-)

No- I opted for piercings instead of tattoos. I get bored so easily and my style can change quite quickly due to my mood/feelings so I always thought a tattoo would be a bad idea incase I got bored. I know what I would get if I had one as I've had the same idea for years, but yeah I got piercings instead- cos if I ever get bored- I can take them out :-)
-
I have dyed half of it bright red before, silver/white and dark brown all over. I would like to go a dull pink or white again but the upkeep is too much / I'm too lazy :-)
-
Wow that's one of the nicest things anyone has ever said!
I'd just tell new bloggers to be themselves- don't look at a popular blogger and try to be them cos you will shine so much brighter if you are just you. Also don't get caught up in bitching, arguments and follower counting- do it cos you love it and your passion will come across in your writing and images.
Lately I've been finding a few bloggers from Manchester and Cumbria ( where I'm from ) cos I find it really interesting that these girls are right on my doorstep :-) x -
A part of me does as I was good at it but I am happy and growing in the role that I am in. The fashion industry is so volatile that you never know what will happen. For now I am happy though.
-
I got into merchandising first for a clothing importer that bought for River Island, Asos, monsoon etc and then I became a buyer before leaving to be a homeware buyer for another importer purely for more experience x
-
I work for a brand but wouldn't say no to doing it freelance also . I think it's important to work on your skills personally as well as in a team atmosphere
-
I don't ever feel guilty as I don't want to post 'filler' posts- I only want to post when I feel
It is a credit to my blog. I wish I could dedicate more time to it and I wish I knew what were people's favourite things to see on my blog but I have been trying harder on the photos and content lately and I hope it will add to my readers enjoyment x -
Because the university here did the corse I wanted to do so I came here. When I graduated I moved home for a little while but I wanted to move back to pursue a fashion career c

Yes, I have a little hamster that my sister bought me to stop me getting lonely in my flat. And we have 3 Staffordshire Bull Terriers back home at my mam's house x
-
Honestly I don't have one. 4 years ago all I wanted was to be a buyer. Right now I love styling and am pursuing that. I just want to be happy- and if in 5 years time I realise I'm not- ill find a new dream and chase that. Money etc isn't important to me- I just want to love what I do x

Erm meet with designers, speak to factories overseas, send over details for them to create the design, create label templates, look at fit samples, approve pre-production samples, deal with reports, budgets, logistics of ports and air, looking at stock levels, attending trade fairs and buying fairs... Hope this helps :-)
-
Hey I think I just answered you but you don't need to take anything. Just you, your invite ( if you have one) and a camera ( or phone camera ) and notepad if you want to make notes/ take photos for blog coverage. That's all :-)
-
All press days are different but it's usually rails of samples and maybe some things to do - such as get your nails done. Standard ones are just the brand showcasing their pieces so you can browse / take photos before they hit the shops . You can stay as long as you wish- there isn't a right or wrong time :-)
