It depends on why we broke up. If there was a significant cause for the breakup like cheating etc. then hell no, do I have fool tattooed on my forehead? If the breakup was due to something like I had to move out of state or for some reason we just couldn't connect because of work/school etc. then sure.

I think they are different. Politicians will say what they think people want to hear to gain popularity. Preachers say what people need to hear regardless of whether or not it's a popular option.

Cut them off in terms in lending more money yes. I'm in that situation right now and even after lending money to family that was supposed to pay back, they actually asked for more. People need to know you are not a source of money with no obligation to replay.

I don't feel guilty. Sometimes I give them money and sometimes I don't. I've been around long enough to know that most are looking for money to support a drug/alcohol habit.

No whoever pays should pay all but there's nothing wrong with one who didn't pay to leave the tip. I think it's a nice gesture but not a rule.
