Excellent question. Our blogging program is competitive. Each year, incoming students that express interest in it will try their hand at blogging (and the other components of the job) for the first semester so we can gauge their abilities and commitment level. If that goes well, they will be considered for a paid position in the following semesters. We also have a range of volunteer blogging positions (study abroad, special interest, etc.) and participating in other Saint Mike's organizations (like the Founders Society) can increase your chances of being selected.
