I've only solved it twice so far, and I think it took me at least 20 minutes. After that I've tried to learn faster methods, but then I was like meh and gave up (^_^)

Als Mathematiker rechne ich eigentlich ungerne konkret mit Zahlen. Von daher, nein, ich mag alle (Grund-)Rechenarten gleich gern ;-) -
Apart from the fact that it's an futile endeavour... Maybe I would do it. I suppose it will be hard work in the beginning, setting everything up and scheduling the clean up. But once things are running, they should be easy to control. So it would be more or less an unpaid internship for a year, which would definitely pay off in the résumé.
But as I said, as for the issue itself... The ocean is way too big to scan it for plastic. I mean, if it wasn't, there surely would be companies making profit from all the plastic they collect, I think -
Nein, eigentlich gebe ich Fremden auf der Straße kein Geld. Das heißt, einmal habe ich zwei Musiker in der S-Bahn etwas gegeben, aber die Performance war wirklich lustig.
In Berlin (wie in anderen Großstädten sicher auch) wird man täglich in der U-/S-Bahn um Geld gebeten. Bei den meisten Leuten fürchte ich, dass sie es einfach vertrinken, weshalb ich ihnen nichts gebe. Von den Musikern wiederum weiß ich, dass sie relativ ordentlich dabei verdienen, und als Student hat man ja auch nicht viel Geld und so ;) -
I don't like summer itself. I can't think of anything I like about it that no other season has. Spring and autumn are perfect.

I'm not really close friends with anyone from high school anymore.
I meet every half a year with my three best friends from my old school, and we play ping pong for some hours.
One of my friends from the second school I went to studies with me, but this semester we didn't have any courses together, so we didn't really see each other very often.
As for the rest... I'd say we stay good acquaintances, but nothing more. -
Only if there was undeniable scientific proof it was the absolute truth. Then I can spend the rest of my time trying to find out how the prediction worked.

I'm not a big fan of pork chops, but I would eat them for courtesy reasons. But not with apple sauce!

I like almost all kinds of desserts. It depends on what I had before, but I think applesauce always fits :)

Oh, there is quite a standard reportoire of jokes every math student should have heard at least once. But a lot of them require mathematical background. For instance the shortest math joke of all time: "Let ε < 0." - Or: "There are only 10 kinds of people: those who understand binary and those who don't."
But at the moment I can't think of any corny ones that are easy to understand. I'll edit this when I remember a good one. -
Hmm, tough choice. Probably the third, cause I can hardly have caused those, so there's no reason why the desaster should fall back on me, only because it bears my name.
