It wasn't all about ethics, just a brief mention on one of them. I think I've also just listened to three podcasts talk about pinball and three different ones about mine craft. Those are current, so I understand, but I feel like I'm seeing common threads that aren't current too. Maybe they need to adjust my meds, or I need to get further from Halloween.

I'm not accusing you or anyone of plagiarism, it's more wondering if the easy sharing of thoughts and ideas on Twitter may not have a downside.

      It's tough.

One big problem right now is that the bar for graphics is getting higher. Doing decent graphics isn't for a small group of people, so developers have to stretch their engine over a large number of games, charge more, or both.

Another concern I have is that I was listening to the Brainy Gamer podcast yesterday, and he was saying that he couldn't get the latest group of students to 'get' a game like Ultima 4. I worry about the fact that a wargame doesn't have clear short-term goals is something that means that people aren't going to invest the time to 'get' them. Almost all recent games have very clear pointers to what your next short-term goal is, or a youtube video you can look at. The tolerance for frustration is a lot lower than it used to be. I find that I'm getting that way myself.

Operational Art of War is also getting a patch in the very near future.

Here are some fan made youtube videos. TOAW is turn-based with a decent AI in some scenarios. It supports PBEM(Play by Email) with an active community.

The best part of the game is the community.

You never mentioned what conflict you're interested in. WWII is the most common for wargames, or whether you're looking for turn-based or real-time.

In fairness, I'm a bit biased, I'm the programmer for TOAW III.
