      8D; I would say I'm sorry for the sake your bank account, but I love Mars and so I cannot feel guilty for spreading the Mars love. <3 Thanks so much!

      I could name at least four or five if not a dozen per characters-- I'll try to keep it down. 8);

      Ysrael: "Not Enough" - Our Lady Peace / "Attack" - 30 Seconds to Mars
      Remi: "Name" - Goo Goo Dolls / "Radio Protector" - 65daysofstatic
      Falen: "Six Underground" - Sneaker Pimps / "Beautiful Things" - Andain
      Griffin: "Keep It Simple" - Cobra Starship / "Flawed Design" - Stabilo
      Vao: "Breath" - Breaking Benjamin / "Rabble" - Abandoned Pools
      Jin: "Alive" - Kid Cudi / "Laugh, I Nearly Died" - The Rolling Stones
      Mathey: "Silver Lining" - Rilo Kiley
      Rainer: "Black Water" - Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes
      Nadia: "Control" - Poe / "I Want to Be Evil" - Eartha Kitt

      If I had to use like, one song for all of them, like some epic badass theme song, it would be "Röyksopp Forever" by Röyksopp. 8)

      We're just talking like, symbolically and personality-wise, right, not like in a furry sense--

      Falen: snake or lioness
      Remi: raven or hawk (or bear)
      Ysrael: wolf
      Vao: ...a slightly smaller wolf
      Griffin: venomous snake
      Mathey: chameleon! or maybe a very energetic little puppy--
      Jin: my first reaction is to say lion because of all the jokes I make about his hair, but he's not quite so regal nor does he exist closely among others-- so another large, solitary cat, a jaguar or mountain lion or something
      Rainer: dragon
      Roman: ...this one's hard. I'll get back to you on this--

      I'll be honest, I haven't done enough research about the fashion to give you an accurate answer. When I write, their clothes usually aren't a huge factor that I think about describing, and when I do, I tend to use my imagination rather than accurate fashion research. 8); But, uh, yes, they would wear clothing to suit whatever era I stick them in.

      See, when I write my story for myself, it's in this heavily fictionalized victorian era. When I photograph and RP my dolls/characters, it's always in a modern day setting. That's for the sake of convenience, really. 8)

    6. kal

      Not in the story I've drafted out for myself, no, though the more I think about it, the more I think they could be worked into the grand scheme of things. Those characters belong to heycloud/cloudnagkasalaangel/hamsium though, so I don't feel like I have any business writing or using them. 8D;

    7. kal

      Of course. 8) I might take preorders first, though I haven't decided on that yet. I'll be sure to post on both DA and Tumblr what my plans are as I get further along.

      /nerds out a bit because why would anyone want my signature that's so surreal to me eeeee--

      Er. 8); Yes, it should be done by then. My deadline plan is to have the book ready to print by early April, giving me plenty of time to have it shipped back to me and shipped out to buyers before Fanime. I won't have a booth though, so we might have to play 'where the hell is kal now', but if you really want me to sign it, no problem, we'll figure something out.

    9. kal

      Probably? I suppose the general situation as well as my own situation at the time would come into play. But I wouldn't say I wouldn't do it for certain.

      Griffin's standards are pretty much as follows:

      - living and breathing

      8D; But to be more specific, I guess I would say Griffin does not have an absolute ideal. He sees the good in everyone and everyone's individuality is attractive to him. He doesn't have a type, he sees things to adore about everyone. I guess what attracts him in the first place is a distinct personality. Not necessarily a GOOD personality. But something intriguing either way.

      Jin can defend himself well enough. He's not helpless, he can probably hold his own in a fist fight if the other guy isn't like overpoweringly strong. He knows how to shoot and can handle a knife a bit, but not like Remi and Ysrael; he prefers to avoid violence anyway. Not really his thing, he's not much for suffering pain. He likes to make Ysrael do the hard work. 8) But if he's motivated enough, if he's angry enough, he'll fight, he'll fight dirty, he'll fight to win, and he'll fight to live.

      I answered something like this a while back. 8) /copypaste

      Ysrael: Antisocial. I guess.
      Remi: Quiet. Extremely so.
      Vao: Shy.
      Griffin: Super friendly. |D;
      Mathey: Energetic.
      Falen: Talkative.
      Jin: ...eccentric? He's sort of weird in his multicultural way. 8);
      Rainer: Charming.
      Roman: Sadistic (alive). Timid (dead).

    14. kal

      I can't think of anything that was extremely traumatic. My childhood was fairly uneventful; anything that happened to me that was bad was always something I could tell myself "wasn't even that terrible". Probably the only thing that really affected me was being hospitalized. I didn't enjoy that in the least. |);

    15. kal

      Aside from real life people that influenced my characters' creation? I once saw a guy ordering right before me at a restaurant that reminded me of Remi. Tall, blond, wearing glasses, and had a really quiet, understated voice. He seemed like Remi to me. 8)

      That's about it, I guess, I haven't really noticed anyone else. Or I've just forgotten. OTL

      I haven't. QQ I've been busy with Arkham City and a bit of Skyrim, so I haven't gotten around to picking up Revelations. But I also haven't beaten Brotherhood yet (my brother loaned the game to a friend before I could finish it), so I think I'm going to try to finish that before I get to Revelations. /so slow

      I don't know, I'm not too good on the photography advice thing. Just... take photos? And don't just take photos of interesting subjects. Think about lighting and composition and all that. Just because the thing you're taking a picture of is pretty doesn't mean your picture is going to be pretty.

      And... I guess, look at photos by photographers you admire, really learn how your camera works, study principles of design... orz I don't know. I'm not a role model photographer, so I couldn't really give solid, useful advice. /LEAST HELPFUL qq

      Right now I still need to contact a few doll companies for permission to print my photos of their sculpts. The content of the book relies heavily on that, obviously. Mostly I'm worried that Volks will say no and I won't be able to print photos of Falen, but I think I've figured out a sensible way to include her and not have photos of her, should that happen.

      But I've decided on a printer, and I'm using NaNoWriMo as my catalyst for writing out the book's contents. It's going surprisingly well. 8)b

      I've only watched the first episode, haven't gotten around to watching the rest yet. The farm wasn't my favorite part of the comic series (the prison is) but I'm excited to see it play out on screen. Also, it is now necessary for me to have a Daryl on my zombie survival team. The man is more useful than the rest of the group combined.

I take pictures of dolls. Yup.

If you leave something that isn't in the form of a question, I'm probably not going to answer it.
