The only thing I can think of is Nero Wolfe novels. I don't actively collect them-- I don't go out and look for them. But when I can pick one up, I do. And when I find one I haven't read before, WOOT!

Sound waves don't require a human presence in order to be produced, so of course it makes a sound. Might as well challenge the idea that the tree fell in the first place, if no one was around to see it.

Cigarettes! Are cigarettes an "invention"? Yep, I think so. They should've invented the kind that can't be smoked right outside my apartment window!

The Seven Samurai! That may sound like I'm just trying to stay in character, but it's the truth. I love this layered story, and even though the ending is so sad and ironic, I keep coming back to watch it again.
I could easily substitute several of Kurosawa's other movies, though. -
A Smart Phone.
Yeah, I'm still using my several-years-old flip-phone. But then, I only use it for, well, phone calls. (OK, and texting.. oh yeah, the calendar--and alarms). OK, so I _mostly_ use it for phone calls.
But my friends are telling me I need to join the 21st Century, so yeah-- a Smart Phone.
