Not officially scrapped. It's obviously been... well, let's say "abandoned for an extended period of time," but at this stage I'm fairly sure I'd like to continue it, for practice's sake if nothing else. No promises on an actual update time, but I do have little bits of Chapter 27 in the works. :)

The four-ish days I spent at LeakyCon were honestly some of the best of my life (and that's saying something, because I spent a week or so before that at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and Disney World). Everybody there was so like-minded that you could talk to someone for two minutes and automatically be best friends. There was a lot of waiting in line, and some frustrating experiences (almost missed out on the Starkid signing, COMPLETELY missed out on the Evanna Lynch one) but nothing could really bring it down. We were constantly bumping into Potter celebs and the mainstage events were awesome. So yeah, in short, it was EPIC. I hear they might be doing a LeakyCon 2012, so I would definitely recommend that you check that one out!

Thank you so much! I'm glad you understand. The "it's great practice" logic is what it always comes down to for me when I'm considering giving up, because if I think about it any kind of writing is going to help me get closer to achieving my goals. And TMATR is just so darn much fun. :P

Don't worry about bombarding me with questions--I don't mind at all! And I'm glad to hear it. As far as I know, my sister is also planning some original projects with the intention of publishing, so yeah... you'll probably know who we are, if/when we ever get our stuff out there. :) And I know I haven't exactly made good on my TMATR promise yet, but I'm getting there! University starts in about a week, which means plenty of opportunity for procrastination... ;)
-
I won't make any promises regarding updates but I can tell you that I'm getting psyched up again... and that means I should be back into it very soon. :)
-
Thank you so much! I'm so glad you understand and can forgive me for being such a horrible updater. Anyway, I'm slowly getting back into the TMATR mood, and I think you'll be glad to know that there is much in store for Jamie and Remus in the chapters to come... ;)
-
Thank you so much for understanding! It's comments like these that really make me want to carry on with TMATR. My dilemma has been partially solved--I've come to the conclusion that I need to immerse myself completely in the literary world if I ever want to become an author, so I've made a gigantic "To Read" list and have decided that fanfiction will become a side project of sorts, just to sharpen up my writing skills when necessary. I'm making plans to start some original work, too, but if I manage my time well I should be able to do a little bit of everything. So, in short, the future may still be bright for TMATR. :D
-
Nope, not really. Although I did meet some lovely people at LeakyCon in July. :)
-
I don't think they'd appreciate me giving out their names online, but I have several, in a handful of different countries. They know who they are. ;) As for why... in most cases it's because they're as crazy/geeky as I am. And because they're just awesome.
-
Thank you so much! That means a lot to me. And I'm a sucker for the life stories, too--Lily is such a lovely character.
-
Your enthusiasm is psyching me up for Chapter 27. Thanks for your persistence--it might just pay off. ;)
-
Oh, don't worry--there will be fluff. (It's TMATR, after all.)
-
Took me long enough to answer this. But yeah, um, if you read that paragraph a couple of questions down, you'll have a semi-answer. In short, I was freakishly busy, then I had some internal dilemmas, and now I'm trying to regain my sanity and reassess some things. But in all likelihood, I will get back into my writing groove soon. Sorry for such a long wait, and I hope you'll stick around. :)
-
What's up with your face, random stranger? JK, I'm sure it's beautiful. But I have no idea what you're talking about. COD isn't really my thing. :S

So it's officially been a year (and two days) since I updated, and you're probably not around to read this anymore. :( But I'll say it anyway--I feel terrible for leaving it so long! It's just that I've recently come out of my last year of high school, and since then I've needed a little time to de-stress and sort out my priorities. I HAVE written a little bit of the next chapter, so all hope is not lost. I've been at war with my ambitions lately, and for a while I wasn't sure if I was going to continue writing fanfiction at all... but it's a good way to practise, I've realized, and at this point I'm about 80% sure that I'm not giving up on TMATR. :) So keep checking back!

I think we've updated since you left this message. But probably only once, and that's seriously sad. I'm so sorry for leaving you hanging! If it helps, Chapter Six is in the works. :)
-
When you asked this (eleven months ago, wow) it was the summer before my last year of high school, I think. But now I'm done with that horrid place, and I'm starting university in the fall, majoring in English. :)
-
I'm an Aquarius and a Rooster. :)
-
Gosh, it's been a year since you asked this and I'm still neglecting my inbox! Sorry for being so pathetic. Anyway, I can't tell you how much your comments mean to me! I originally got into fanfiction because I was such a huge fan of the Marauder Era and basically worshipped all the authors who wrote stories about them, so it's nice to hear that mine was a standout for you. I'm sorry I've been so slow at updating (and replying!) but I really hope you're still around to read Chapter 27 when I finally pull it together. :)
-
Thank you so much!! It's awesome to hear that you're enjoying the story so far. I'm hoping to update at least once more before school starts up again, so we'll see how that goes. :)
