The amount of fertilizer needed depends on the amount of nutrients in the soil. We suggest having your soil analyzed so that you can determine the level of fertility of your soil. This will guide you as to what fertilizer you need to apply.

If the soil has not been analyzed you can use 6-8 bags/hectare of complete fertilizer (14-14-14) for hybrid and 4-6 bags/hectare of complete fertilizer (14-14-14) for OPV.

Note:
You may also use organic fertilizer such as compost or animal manure while preparing the land. This will lessen inorganic fertilizer application.
