Iron toxicity is most common in the lowlands where there is permanent flooding during crop growth. To manage iron toxicity, use intermittent irrigation and avoid continuous flooding on poorly drained soils, balanced fertilizers, and perform dry tillage after harvest to increase iron oxidation during the fallow period. You can also use a tolerant variety to acid sulfate soils, e.g. Rc160.

sir good morning.sorry for the late reply.from what province are you sir?managing a hybrid rice variety is the same with inbred varieties.there are hybrid producers that include their recommended fertilizer rate printed on their sacks.but we recommned that you should let your soil be tested for you to be able to know what nutrient is lacking.here in Nueva Ecija, some farmers are planting hybrid rice during wet season,but its too risky,because hybrid varieties are more susceptible to pest and diseases,and during wet season pest and diseases are rampant making hybrid varieties an easy target.

sigurado po ba kayong rice blast yun or baka bacterial leaf blight lang po? Ang Rice blast po kasi hindi nag mumultiply or dumadami kung matubig. Sa katunayan, isa sa management practices ng rice blast ang patubigan ang palay. Kung may nakikita po kayo na parang oval shape na kulay gray sa gitna ng dahon, tama po kayong rice blast pero kung wala naman po malamang ibang sakit po iyan. Kung gusto nyo po, puede kayong kumuha ng larawan ng inyong palay na infested sa sakit na sinsabi niyo at ipadala sa amin dito. Hindi po dahilan ang poultry sa pagkakaroon ng Bacterial Leaf Blight o BLB.Pero, upang makaiwas sa BLB:
• Gumamit ng mga barayti ng palay na may resistensya laban sa bacterial
blight. (PSB Rc78, Rc66, Rc58, Rc34, Rc32, at Rc50.)
• Iwasang masugatan o maputol ang mga dahon ng punla ng palay bago o habang naglilipat-tanim.
• Gumamit ng mga binhing galing sa malulusog na pananim.

- Panatilihing malinis ang bukid
- Iwasan ang sobrang patubig. sa punlaan at mga pinitak lalung-lalo na ang kalilipat-tanim pa lamang upang hindi masugatan ang mga tanim.

- Ipahingan ang lupang pinagtaniman (fallow) at hayaan itong matuyo -

The amount of fertilizer needed depends on the amount of nutrients in the soil. We suggest having your soil analyzed so that you can determine the level of fertility of your soil. This will guide you as to what fertilizer you need to apply.
If the soil has not been analyzed you can use 6-8 bags/hectare of complete fertilizer (14-14-14) for hybrid and 4-6 bags/hectare of complete fertilizer (14-14-14) for OPV.
Note:
You may also use organic fertilizer such as compost or animal manure while preparing the land. This will lessen inorganic fertilizer application.

Patuloy ang pag-promote ng PhilRice sa PalayCheck system thru its Location Specific Technology Development(LSTD)sites na hinahawakan ng mga Rice Sufficiency Officers(RSOs) ng PhilRice. sa kasalukuyan, meron ng 257 LSTD sites sa bansa. Patuloy din ang pagsasagaw ng trainings on PalayCheck system. -
