I think reputation needs to be restored to scores of 7-8. In my view, they should be considered very good but flawed games. A lot of the time, some of the best games are flawed diamonds (as my favourites are). But what is an 'average' game anymore with thousands of titles scoring 8-9's?

I long for the good ol' days of critical reviewing. An 8/10 in the 1990's is best game of all time by today's standards.
