My iPod and laptop are both fucked. I'd like a MacBook Pro, but I don't have a grand going spare, sadly.

A cat. Or a chimp. Either way.

Thanks it saves me looking like an idiot in future.
Social attitudes tend to liberalise with each generation, so older people tend to be have a more conservative outlook relative to the general population. Economically it's less obvious because some people tend to be wealthier and therefor have more to protect, however the elderly are also probably the most reliant on state provided services, pentions, healthcare, community centres etc. So my answer's a big fat maybe. -
I was 16. It's 3 years ago to the month I think.

Is this ever going to stop?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O6XE1XRiLeY I see that, and raise you this.

I've literally never had it on loud so it's not an issue.

I'm not called Nate. And I don't know anyone who goes by Katie. Perhaps you're confused.

Is that supposed to be annoying, because it's really not. Brilliant song.

I don't really think that you can compare the two, because this is a democracy. Protest is broadly tolerated in the UK and we are free, albeit with some aberrations as we've seen recently which aren't to be ignored. Also the economic conditions here, even with the current crisis, aren't as bad. The fact that we're richer and have better rights makes it a lot harder to get the sort of level of public opinion that such a large level of the population would turn against the government, especially losing control of police and the military.
However I think that there is a massive value to utilising our right to protest alongside our democratic channels and mass public demonstrations showing volume of public opinion can scare governments and can lead to policy changes. In Cardiff Central, where I live, our Lib Dem MP decided last minute to vote against tuition fees and I honestly believe that it was because of sustained protest that she realised that the electorate wouldn't forgive her for not voting against and made her stick to her promise.
So I think it protest can have an effect but I think it's more likely parliament, not protest will bring this government down. -
Thank you kind stranger.

I'd ask your good self, of course Gordon. I'd also get Aaron Sorkin and Hunter S. Thompson would be my other choice if he wasn't dead. The musical guest would be Arcade Fire.

I used to work in a club that mostly did electro nights. I wouldn't normally group everyone based on liking a type of music but there's only so many times that you can get asked if you have any MKAT with a backing beat of fire alarms before you hate an entire genre and everyone who's ever listened to it.

I'm afraid you'll have to learn to spell first. Full stops and capital letters too please.

Neither of my brothers are, or my sister, or me mam.
