Contrary to popular opinion our drummer isn't actually real;
After watching Spinal Tap one too many times together as a band, we grew a deep burning fear inside us of spontaneous human combustion with drummers (otherwise known as autocombustophobia)... Since this time we have used the latest technology to create a highly advanced and lifelike drummer using advanced holographic techniques.
When creating our holographic drummer we did have to give it a back story and personality to make it as real as possible though, and that personality is one of a man in a relationship... Oh, and the guy who controls the hologram at gigs is very attached to the 'drummer' as well...
