A stupid question is anything that's blatantly obvious (see above) or utterly pointless. Originally, "stupid questions" were primarily directed to questions that were meant to harass or offend.

I wanted a new screen name that wasn't etre.mhe (or a derivative thereof). People call me "Mu" out of endearment, so I thought "MuMu" would be twice as endearing. And since people also make fun of the sound of my name, I might as well replace the first "Mu" with "Moo." So, that's how "MooMu" was born. I neither like nor dislike cows. They do smell bad, though...
