Mostly because it was something fun to do. I like cosplay, I like taking photos, I like having projects, and have gotten to meet lots of cool people. It was an idea I had had years ago but never had the resources to make. I worked for Cosplay Deviants (although I had had the idea before they went up, they beat me to the punch on actually MAKING it). They treated the models so poorly and were such jerks all around, I figured it would time to make my own finally. I happened to meet up with Athena Hollow and Loz of GeekGirlsOnline and they made it happen :) If I had some actual programming skills, and more time, it could probably be real successful...but it's a fun hobby, anyway

To elaborate: these model girls are nice to you because we have an image to uphold. We want to be well received by our fans, and we have to be cautious what kind of image we are putting out there. We want to be thought of as being approachable, but at the same time, we have to keep a distinct line between us and our fans lest it be mistaken for something it's not. We are our own business, and we need to keep people coming back to us if we are to be successful as models. But there comes a point when someone can cross the line and you don't seem to be able to distinguish between what is appropriate and what isn't - in real life or online. These girls aren't your friends, they don't have a real relationship with you, and your friend was right to put distance between herself and you. I'm sure she didn't want to end up dead in a ditch somewhere because you couldn't understand that she wasn't interested
