From the marks, it appears they predetermined she would get Gold and Slutskaya would not. It is difficult to say she was gifted, because she managed to complete her program. Slutskaya's effort was a mess. Suguri was sort of overlooked, but there may have be a good objective argument against her. Cohen probably deserved silver fair and square.
