Vincent D'Onofrio, although I don't know if he qualifies as "underrated" because everyone seems to think he's great? I think he should be getting far more major film roles, tho. I love character actors who can pull off the weirdest, creepiest, psychologically dismantled characters with depth and with all seriousness.

I wrote Paul Stanley a fan letter when I was seven, because KISS RULED. ;D

I'm not into the celebrity thing. I've only collected a few autographs, and those were on things like limited vinyl records or something I intend to pass down to my kids. I don't even like taking photos of them unless they're onstage performing or at a press conferance.

Thai Ice Tea, no contest. I will drink myself sick into a massive spaz and resulting sugar coma drinking those things.

I've been compared to Janeane Garafolo a few times (OMG, we're TWINS!), Davey Havok (when he had witch-long hair) but most often it's Patti Smith, which is one of the coolest, most flattering things anyone's ever said to me.
I heard it a lot over this photo:

      Mouse Trap!!! >^.^<

This game cemented my early appreciation of Rube Goldberg machines. Someone built a full size -working- replica of it a few years back, that I would've squeed to see in action...

Some are polite and good about taking stuff down because they just didn't know they shouldn't be using it. I have some really good online friends who I met because they reposted photos.

Some respond by cursing me/the universe out and posting threats of violence while declaring their right to use anything they find on the Internet, in a gross misunderstanding of "public domain". For those, I hit them with words. Lots and lots of lovely words.

(Not for their sake, but for anyone reading their rants and not knowing what's really going on, because it helps other people to avoid making the same mistake their friend did)

People think I get all RAWR AM ANGRY over people reposting images, but I don't. It's just another thing to deal with. It takes something on the scale of, entering my photos into a contest (which happened last year) and the website running the contest refusing to remove them, to get me actually mad.

HELLBLAZER, because OMG it was my favorite comic for a few years after it debuted, and I can't afford comics anymore but it's STILL GOING. Even if I just painted the covers, I'd love to do something on that book.

Or anything X-MEN or NEW MUTANTS, because those books got me hooked on comics via meeting Len Wein AKA "my comic book dad" playing Rampage at 1am in a convention hotel hallway when I was 16. (I was Godzilla, he was King Kong). Bill Sienkiewicz art in "The Demon Bear Saga" story arc in NEW MUTANTS irretrievably changed how I approached doing comic art. After the original series ended in 1991 I named my first born child after one of the characters. (YES. I'M A COMIC BOOK GEEK AND PROUD OF IT.)

You asked only for books currently in print, so those are them. :)

Someone asked me this 10 months ago but I just saw Resident Evil: Afterlife, so my reply of going to prison for shooting a zombie cop infected with the T-virus and sitting out the Zombie Apocalypse in a Maximum Security prison is modified by "until the burrowing mutant zombies come in through the sewers."

I'm guessing it was on Tumblr...? One big reason I normally contact Tumblr instead of the individual sites that posted the photos is with that site (although I love it for many reasons) once you post a photo, you can take your post down, but you have no way of deleting the photos you've uploaded. And half the time when you reblog a photo it creates a new image file for your post, so reblogs have to be reported along with the original post. This means photographers HAVE to contact Tumblr Support to get all the different versions of the image they create on their server removed.

(The other big reasons are that I have to send in lists with 100 or more image posts to remove, and most people aren't nice about it if I ask them personally to take something down, so thank you for dropping me a note! :)

http://fuckyeahafireinside.tumblr.com on Tumblr posts licensed and authorized photos that are okay to repost or reblog as long as they stay credited/linked to the photographer, if you want to find more AFI photos for your blog. (it's actually the main purpose of that blog, to put the photos up legally so people have more AFI stuff to reblog that won't get them in trouble, created after we lost the original AFI and Jade Puget fan sites there because of that.)

Practice, practice, PRACTICE! keep learning your art, don't assume you've got a camera and can jump right into doing it professionally. Learn the business side of things, network (with everyone, bands, labels, their or people, even other photographers), and don't ever, ever undervalue your work just because "you're a newbie".

If you want to do this professionally, don't give your work away for free. Always get something in return, even if it's not monetary, or tangible. This isn't to say that you shouldn't trade work for things other than $$$... if you choose to do it, DO IT STRATEGICALLY, and don't do it because you think you aren't good enough to get something in return. If someone wants your images, you're good enough!

Thanks! And I miss you (and Buzznet), too. It's just so different now, and I can barely keep up with people. If it wasn't for Tumblr, Twitter (and sadly, Facebook :P) I'd lose people completely.

LOL, I saw your tattoos at some point but I think your head wasn't in the shot, and didn't realize it was you until I saw more photos recently. Admiring someone's tattoos and not realizing you know the person = how awkward! XD
