I suggest that you use as much of the stage light as you can. I almost never use a speed light well doing live bands. As you have to use good fast glass. It's got to open past a 2.8 and use a higher iso like 800

that depends on the client and how i left off with them but normal is about a week or two

I sure do. It's called noise ninja but I can't say that I really use it some times I really dig the noise I get.
