The first Modesty Blaise novel.
-
Umm... I can't remember. Why?

Scott Pilgrim, for sure. I liked Inception, but it's not what it claims to be (or rather, what the hype claimed it to be). Worst, I'm not sure. I tend not to watch films I know will be bad. Better things to do with my time, you know?
Except I saw Terminator: Salvation, but that was through foolish hope more than anything. -
I take photos of myself for all character reference, generally. I then have that onscreen next to my drawing board.

Book - Would have to be Pattern Recognition again.
CD - Man... you know, every time I mention Fleetwood Mac I get someone going "oh that's really old/uncool/whatever" so Rumours, because it's an amazing album that holds up over 30 years on. When you realise it's also basically chronicling the breakup of the two couples in the band, it makes it even more interesting.
Game - Dragon Age. It has some flaws, but there's some amazing storytelling contained within. By the end, you really care about the characters and how your actions affect them. I'm willing to overlook playability or graphics issues if the story is worth it.
Speaking of, here's one you can get for free: http://www.scoutshonour.com/digital/ Digital: A Love Story. About an hour's worth of play, with a great little immersive story. -
Make comics. It's as simple as that. Make some comics to show what you can do, maybe get a small press table at a show, or put them online. Let people see your work.

I already answered this one here - http://www.formspring.me/Mcke1vie/q/314901252

Pattern Recognition by William Gibson. Beautifully written, perfectly captures the time while at the same time feeling like SF (when it isn't, really).
-
I don't really believe in thinking about What Ifs?, sorry.

I work most at nght but it's a habit I'd like to kick. I'd rather take advantage of daylight and live normal person hours.

A lot. The best thing about living in London is the amount of gigs you can go to. I probably go to upwards of 4 a month.
Best ever... hmm, that's hard to say. In recent memory, though, French Horn Rebellion at the Camden Barfly were great, and Friendly Fires at the Coronet Theatre was AMAZING. London has a problem in that a lot of the crowd are there to be seen, and talk, rather than watch the band, especially once they hit a certain fame level. So you'll often get a motionless crowd, maybe taking camera phone photos, and talking. But FF had the ENTIRE venue dancing, and it's a big venue. -
Yes. Mostly one personfor the personality. The name, though, is taken from my friend and amazing singer/songwriter <a href=http://www.myspace.com/astridwilliamson>Astrid Williamson</a>.

Just with milk. Nothing else needed!

Horrible. Really, really painfully awful.
No, it's great. We've been working together and friends for several years, so we have a shorthand... that he doesn't use in his very long scripts, admittedly, but it's there.* He knows what I am capable of and writes to those strengths, and knows I can pull certain images.
There's usually one thing per script that pushes me to be a better artist, and of course, he writes a damn good story.
*PG 2.1's script for 16 comic pages was 32 pages long. Most of the reason for that is that his scripts to me are very conversational - like letters more than scripts. -
Emily, definitely. Fun to draw, fun to dress, and her range of facial expressions is interesting to think about and draw.

I feel I should qualify this answer by saying that Matt Wilson does the colour on my creator-owned books. I make the basic colour scheme choices, and Matt follows the colouring style I use, but he transforms the whole thing onto a whole new level. So he'd be better equipped to answer that than me.

From Suburban Glamour? Yes, I don't think it's any big secret that he is a teenage me. There's a fairly large autobiographical element to SG, most of the people in it are based on real people and some of the events happened.
