Since when is the summer solstice the first day of summer? It's the middle of summer. It's called midsummer's day for a reason.

Of course, it isn't actually the middle of summer either. It's the point at which the sun is highest in the sky and we get the longest day, but because the earth is still warming up from the winter, it isn't actually the hottest day, or the middle of summer. But it certainly isn't the first day of summer either.

Englnd is weird this year. The England team is probably one of the statistically weakest in many, many years. But that means there are lower expectations and less pressure on them. It's the pressure that usually gets to the team. Hopefully lower pressure could lead to an unexpected win of the Euro's.
