i would have to say the one inspired by "A Christmas Carol" with the flying fishes XD
-
people liked Nightcrawler for his personal touch, the devil who was on the sides of angels, his great faith and strenght even trough the worst pages of his life. If the new version keeps those traits, all right, but if it doesnt then it's just a mockery of the Elf XD

Kang the Conqueror?
-
it has potential, i will follow the main story to see how they get there, and maybe some JLA stuff later to test the waters XD
-
usually a dive in the swimmingpool or in the sea XD

well, Religious implies a ierarchy and a given structure in which insert this character, a Spiritual one is ineherently personal belief at his highest. Kurt was a bit of both, most of the others you wrote are usually jewish, and their religion is used more as a paragon of their being oppressed than for their faith itself...

i enjoyed the Uranian from Agent of Atlas. I like his naivetee in the 50 and the contrast and sci-fi alien feel he has now.

Back to the Future XD
-
because most of us are really really frustrated with things in our lives about wich we can do nothing about, i expect XD
-
we still have to see a decent Superman, if they do it right maybe....
-
i think i wouldnt know how to explain it, nor would i want to. I think they would just have to tell them to wait and see what happens before criticizing...
-
i liked Resonance by Chris Dolley; an intresting take on the multiple universe trope XD
-
i didnt see any of those so i wouldnt have any way to give my opinion XD sorry XD Brave is still a relative unknown, let's give it time...

no he died in a game of the Collector and the Grandmaster, where they pitched the Defenders from different timelines against the Offenders (the evil equivalent of the clssic team), but everyone was resurrected afterward. not really a noteworthy story, it smelled like bad fanfiction...

For Marvel, i think i would like to see a credible take on the death of the Hulk; we have seen a lot of heroes die through comic history, but usually Hulk only gets banished or thrown in another dimension. I think the death of Hulk could be used to tie down his rage and dissipate it finally, tastefully finding a way for him to finally reach peace, maybe in a heroic way... His greatest enemy is himself, and how he is percieved by everyone else; i'd like to see a situation where he saves everyone while finally his fellow heroes and the other people can look at him in wonder, finally aknowledging him as the hero he can be, deep down himself...

the basic concept of the Sentry has a lot of potential, and the original take on him was sound; the entire concept of an hero actually fighting against a psicological liability while having such a staggering power was radically new in the year 2000, before every good guy with reality rewriting power began going crazy over the timespace continuum. the weakness of the character made him reliable to everyone, and his strenght in overcoming himself to save everyone was inspirational. What made him lose the chance to develop fully was the everchanging take on his personality; the Three personalities (Bob, Sentry and Void) began mixing and blurring the confines between one and the other. in the end the confusion was too much and people werent willing to see the good Sentry was capable of doing, only his shortcomings and confusion. so The Sentry was a good character, but his development in continuity after his first appearance was not. I hope when he returns they will take care to tone a bit down his "crazy" and focus more on his humanity...

i'd say Marvel has by far the best approach to death, the only two from DC that i'd say were better are the death of Superman, in it's iconic value, and even Batman's "death" against Darkseid. The aftereffect of those was felt throught the entire company; in Marvel usually a death is an occasion to recap everything a character was, and unite and aknowledge every tie between them and the world. I'd have to say usually DC is the goriest one; but lately even Marvel had his share of dismemberment; if you talk about "reasonable death" i'd have to give to both companies a negative mark, since it's not unusual lately to kill off characters in brutal, needless ways. Resurrection? both companies uses extensively the revolving door, in some cases rightly so, but in others it feels cheap and rushed.

i have no idea, never liked it myself. Too over the top for my tastes...
