It's not wrong for a guy to look good, which is why so many guys who do look good are gay.

i think it's a vile campaign and the guys behind it deserve whatever gets meted out to them.
from what i can see, it's mostly older poz guys and younger negative guys. the words they use (breeding, seeding, "gifting") have unbearable connotations of bugchasing/deliberate infection with hiv for sexual thrills. it's got a creepy cultish feel to it too, and that's something that a lot of vulnerable younger gay guys can get drawn too (it's a "brotherhood" after all, these guys are your "brothers" etc and for guys who have conflicting feelings about being gay that's got to be a toxic combination of predators and benevolent rhetoric).
it especially bothers me that it's older guys who are looking to dump their infected semen in younger negative guys - i know enough people who've seroconverted in their early 20s that the thought of someone older and who knows exactly what it's like to be diagnosed with HIV deliberately infecting someone who's much younger makes me see red. -
hardly. i'm probably one of the shyest and most introverted people i know. it's always been a real struggle to be outgoing and even now nothing fills me with more discomfort than being around people i don't know well.

mixed feelings. so many of the ones who do drag shows bore me to tears: they're basically just loud, horribly trashy and frequently very stupid and sexist men in dresses. however, i knew a number of drag queens when i lived in nyc (agosto machado, ethyl eichelberger and others) who were true performing artists and have also met a few in london as well. i also met men who dress in drag when i was much younger (now, i'd assume they were more pre-op than "drag") who were lovely and quite brave.
i think the whole issue of drag is a lot more complicated than "trans" and gay activists like to pretend. on the one hand, drag tends to perpetuate the most retrograde gender stereotypes; but drag queens have also been amongst the most courageous and earliest activists. so i guess i don't think any one thing about drag queens in general: it depends on the particular drag queen and also the context in which they're "dressing up." -
my current favourite novelty drink is a pometini, which a friend of mine introduced me to in san francisco recently. but nothing beats a vodka tonic as a standard workhorse drink.
