I suspect my boyfriend is suffering from bulimia. I want to talk to him about it, but I´m afraid that if I do it without being quite sure of the fact, he´ll just deny it and become more secretive about it. How can I be sure (or at least sure enough)?

    Hi there,

As you say it is a difficult circumstance to be in, but in all honesty the only way to be truly sure is to be direct and talk to him. You can find the symptoms and signs of Bulimia on our website http://mengetedstoo.co.uk/information/definitions-and-symptons/bulimia but by the sounds of it you have already done your research. It is a difficult conversation to have with someone but one which if done the right way can be a relieving conversation for the sufferer as well as a loved one. We have a section specifically on the subject of helping someone you know with or suspect they have an eating disorder http://mengetedstoo.co.uk/information/getting-support/how-to-help-someone
