This is a difficult, loaded question. I wish heels were comfortable and I was capable of walking in them...because I love the way they look.
Essentially, i love a platform pump, closed-toe. I love anything from a nude-ish pink to an electric purple...either patent leather or suede...I loveeee suede.
But usually I wind up in flats...or converse low tops...one day I'll be a lady. -
To be honest, not really. It was a tough road to graduation at points...not that I thought I wasn't graduating, i just got severe senioritis. I graduated and got a stupid retail job, then another one. My loan papers came. My ex-boyfriend died. The holidays were pretty much a wash--except Christmas, because I got to see my two favortie kids. But yeah...2009 can suck it. I'm glad I made it through and I hope 2010 proves something to me. Happy new year, Cara!

Zora Neale Hurston--her essay "what it feels like to be colored me" is something I think about every day. She wrote it during the harlem renaissance and it nails what I feel about being black in 2010 (happy new year, btw).
My friend, mo. Without the help of his parents, he's gone through so much but he doesn't complain about a thing. He doesn't let me whine when things get tough and he knows what i'm capable of too. It's amazing. -
Good one! Favorite: the bangs! My current hairstylist hasn't mastered them like the random hair salon I walked in to get them cut but I love my hairstyle so much...this is the longest I've kept it. I had bangs before when I was like 9, but they were awful 90s bangs.
Least favorite: hmm...My first thought is the braids with the curls on the ends. It looked like an animal died on my head. Runner up would be the super thick braids that were trendy in like, the late 90s...ugh. Not cute. -
Dr. Phil. I was about to add Maury, but I don't feel guilty about liking that for some reason...

I check the black box on forms. Butttt my grandfather was born on an indian reservation, so I'm at least a quarter nanticoke Indian. There's also rumors that my other grandfather was part Irish, but we don't know for sure...so...I check the black box.

Urban Decay. They have mastered black eyeliner--which I never leave the house without. They also have really cute packaging, super shiny lip gloss, and quirky names for shades. Oh, and most of their products are vegan--all are animal friendly. Gotta love it.

If I count I'd be disgusted with myself. I own way too many. They have stopped fitting in my closet recently...
I have a problem. Lol -
The summer after my freshman year of college I went to nothern NJ to visit my uncle, his wife, and their boy-girl twins who at that time were about four. There was this one moment where me and the kids laid in the hammock in their backyard eating popsicles and I just remember that moment as a huge peice of happiness. I've been overseas and to disneyworld, but nothing has ever made me feel like that over there.

I've started tons, but haven't finished any...I'm sure that has a deeper meaning or is a simile for my life right now as well.
-
Good one. There have been 3 incidents in my life where I have thought that I was in love. The first two, in hindsight, were intense infatuation...very very stupid situations and I don't think real love makes you feel that way. As for the third...we shall see.

That's a tough one! Yakitori boy might win out because it's more fun and club-like--I feel like I really move the crowd there (lol). But I always have fun at national
mechanics too! And I always drink too much at both :-/ -
I'm assuming that all the varieties of rosebud salve are gone, too (but if they weren't, I'd pick the mint one). It would most likely be korres lip butter in pomegranate or co bigelow's my favorite lip balm. Nothing would ever compare, though

For the rest of time? I guess it'd have to be macy's. That way I can wear lucky jeans and bcbg now and stuff for older ladies when I get there. They also have shoes, purses, makeup, and pjs (which is the department I used to work in). They would also have everything I need for work, formal events, and just hanging out. It's sad though, because I'd be shopping there knowing that they treat their employees like crap.

1) that's not a question, grammatically. And 2) i don't believe so. No one has told me that. If I'm smelly, let me know.

Hands down 24 hour marathon. I felt like we were the breakfast club in there. (I was Claire. Dana was the weirdo, of course.) we all felt like family there for a second.
-
My tweety. He's about as old as I am and everyone who sees him makes fun of how bad he looks. I don't let anyone hold him and I don't fly without him in the carry on.
I have like 40 replacement ones, but they don't hang around as much as this one. -
Depends on what I'm shopping for! For basics, American apparel hands down. For jeans, American eagle. almost all my shoes are Steve madden. I'm also really into south moon under for quirky things...and the most amazing marc by Marc Jacobs bag I plan on robbing a bank to afford.
