It really varies. The most time I spend on finding images is for Le Fashion and for Le Love. I have huge folders on my desktops filled with thousands of pics as well as two hard drives filled with shots as well!

I got into Columbia through of course good grades, but because I interned and volunteered a lot in the relevant field of counseling. Because I worked hard I had many good recommendations. Also, really working hard on the application essays.

i just always liked both. tried out interning at a major mag thinking it was what i wanted but hated not being able to be my own boss and the fact that i was constantly feeling guilty for spending so much effort and time on something that wasn't doing anything for the greater good. I decided to go into counseling and to balance my interest in fashion decided to blog. I am currently on the verge of being able to blog full time which allows me to be my own boss and allows me the time to volunteer and be involved in causes that matter to me. I am still in grad school as well :) All a balancing act.

I would just make sure to credit and link back to all the images you can. I have been approached by companies-- it does normally depend on popularity ie page views + unique visitor stats.
