I think that's all relative to how cold you personally feel. That being said...if it's snowing out and you're wearing shorts and a t-shirt with flip flops, I'm going to question your judgement.

I can stand it because I look past the negative things and see the positive ones. A city is not only about the services and incompetent city government. There's a great arts scene, a great music scene, great social scene...etc. Besides, I was born and raised here. It's home and I love it.
Anyway, I tend to find city government employees pretty crappy in most cities. -

I'm lucky in the fact that I live in a building where everyone has to be buzzed in, so I don't have to deal with those problems. However, I have been stopped on the street many times by Jehovah's Witnesses, Evangelical Christians, etc and been asked if they can save me. My responses tend to be on the side of blunt and sarcastic, which isn't always the best route because then they feel like they have to send more people to "save me"...
Mama Glock has had some good responses. First off, whenever Jehovah's Witnesses pass by, Mama Glock will point out the Mezzuzah on our door and says "See that?" Most of them get it and go away. If they don't, she'll insist that it's not coming down. Once, she was asked if she ever thinks about the Holy Land. She replied with a crazy smile "But I AM from the Holy Land"...the two gentlemen who were at her door thanked her for her time and quickly walked away.
Anyway, the point of telling you all that is this: You have to be firm in your response to them. Being polite, but firm is a good tactic, especially if they are nice enough to back off after you say "No thanks." But if they aren't, just shut the door. If they persist, you can say you are feeling harassed and are considering calling the police. You don't actually have to call the police, but just the threat could get them to leave and maybe not come back. I would only do this if it goes to the extreme.

First off, while I appreciate that there is a collective missing of me in DC, telling me that I'm failing to keep you updated on my life is a bit much. If you really are concerned about what is going on in my life, ask me. Or, since I was away, message me on the variety of other social media sites that I use. Twitter, for example, is something I updated ALL THE TIME! Check that.
As for updating my blog, I do apologize for that...I have been slacking. But it's also because I've been doing so many other things that I just haven't updated you about yet.

I have never run a marathon. And if I wanted to start training now for the Marine Corps Marathon, I would maybe be ready for the one in 2014. I am a terrible runner. Though clearly you seem to be a person who has enough faith in my that I can do it. Apparently running marathons is the thing to do....

I had not seen any video clips from that particular conference. It is indeed an interesting topic.
However, I feel that to discuss a conference on the negative aspects of pornography without bringing anyone from the porn industry (which from what I'm seeing they did not) is sort of like putting someone on trial without allowing them to take part in it.
Not to say I think pornography is a healthy part of society. I just like to hear both sides of a debate. -
Seeing how I don't know who this is or when exactly we will be hanging out...I can't really say. Using my cleavage as a cup holder is preferential treatment and very few accomplish that.
