      Why do children love teddy bears?

      Well, in the early 1900's, Theodore Roosevelt cleane up New York's sanitary system and became an officer and president whom everyone loved. In the latter years of his life, he refused to shoot a bear during hunting season, hence the reason for naming the stuffed animal, "Teddy Bear," after him Therefore children love Teddy Bears due to the fact that everyone loved the one whom it was named after.. Or because they're soft and fluffy, I sippose that's a theory as well.
