I collapse him with it.

Yeah, I think so. I mean, it would for sure be limiting, but at the same time, I think (hope) my work is a lot more about the emotions of the day and compositions that I frame them in, than about the nice clean noise free-ness :)

As soon as somebody in Austin books us. Too bad there's way too many good photogs in Austin for that to happen!

"I hate Chile" was probably the funniest search I can remember :)

Well, during the Southern hemisphere winter, the light is actually pretty nice all day long. During the summer, I definitely shoot for the normal two hours before sunset. But the more I learn about artificial lighting, the more I like trying new things. Not enough light isn't usually the problem. Off camera flash is easy enough to use to fix that. It's direct sunlight that is the most difficult to work with. In that case I try to play with the harsh lighting and the shadows, I always bring a reflector and then recently have started using flash composites to "kill the daylight" as Ryan Brenizer said when he explained the technique to us.

Hmmmm. I think acting would be more fun because then you'd get to play dress up all the time.

A big mix. I would say probably 75% both of us speak Spanish to one another, 20% of the time I speak in English and he responds in Spanish and 5% of the time we both speak in English.

Hmmm, I don't know if I'm fluent yet or ever will be. I speak very fluently but I make mistakes and have a strong gringo accent.
But to get to the point I'm at, it took me about 2 years.
That being said I'm a slow learned. Don't base your calculations off of me :) -

Wait. Was this a photographer question? -

I don't think it's timeless, but really, I don't think almost anyone has timeless processing. Even people who just do "color pop." We'll still probably look back in 20 years and go, "Oh hey look, that was the year 2008, when every amateur photographer and her mom learned how to get super vibrant colors!" Because real life doesn't look like what's in a photograph, I don't think pictures will ever be timeless. So no, I do not keep that in mind. I process the way I like. So far it has worked for me and my clients!

Technology. I don't know my gear inside and out like some and I think if I took the time to learn it more than I do now I could make even better images.

Haha, we can definitely get coffee if you are planning on being over on my side of the state at all! I'll even introduce you to some MI photographer friends of mine. But yes, I agree, I think we have a lot in common and I'd love to meet you!

Hmmm. Good question. I'd give up at least 5 IQ points to never have to worry about money again.

Without post processing I think I would still want to be a professional photographer. That being said, I LOVE pp, it's one of my favorite parts of the process. But if pp didn't exist then everyone's images would look flat and dull and I'd have nothing to compare myself to so I probably wouldn't mind.

Some really, really stupid boy stuff that made me feel like I was worthless.

During the first semester I lived with a host family. Then towards the end of the semester Seba and I started dating and he invited me to go with him and the family to their beach house. I went and had a great time and started spending most nights at their house in Santiago during the week and in Algarrobo on the weekends when they went. The second semester I got my own apartment but never slept there, so by the third semester, I officially moved in with him and his family.

Thanks Vida. I feel really fortunate to have come out this with no problems!
My favorite thing about living in Chile right now, is the way people have reacted to this crisis. Sure, there are the bad eggs that are looting and what not. But all I have run into are resilient people, people who want to help their fellow mankind and people who have nothing, but feel grateful that they're even alive.
