Hmmmm. I have some questions for you and then some suggestions. First, all moms will ask, are you ok? Did you get hurt? If you had passengers, were they hurt. That will always be the main concern.

The next part is tricky. It's about liability (responsibility). Whose car were you driving? Was it badly damaged? There are insurance issues that need to be dealt with and if you had passengers, you might face serious liability (responsibility).

So, as hard as it is, you need adult help and intervention. Tell your mom the truth. I'm sure she will be shocked, concerned and quite possibly angry. Once she's gotten over that and made sure you are fine, she will have to help you deal with any concerns with regard to the accident and need for repair.

In most cases, parents are very forgiving and loving. Should you have a great fear of approaching your parents, maybe you can ask a loving grandparent, aunt, uncle or trusted family friend to talk to your mom with you.

Finally, may I say, since you will soon be of driving age, make it a rule that you will NEVER get behind the wheel or into the car with anyone who has had alcohol to drink.

      Hope this helps.
