Depends how thin the filter between my mind and tongue is at the time.

I use the Japanese keyboard on my iPhone. It's there in the iPhone, you just need to enable it/turn it on.

Oh, wow. Where did you come from? I was almost certain no one remembers that by now. Do I keep it up? No, unfortunately. I wish I could afford time to. Will I ever pick it up? You never know.

They're giving them away at their stores in Mercato shopping mall.

Sorry you can't. I'm a private person and I like maintaining that.
-
Not at the moment. I'm a little swamped with projects at the moment and while I'd welcome the extra help, I'm not set to have an intern around.

I have a hidden list on twitter in which I stalk Mark Weaver, Christopher David Ryan (CDRyan), Eight Hour Day, Olly Moss—who I'd hate to love because his work makes me insanely jealous, and others. I suppose it makes them favorite contemporaries.
Then there's Dieter Rams, Pentagram, and Paul Rand. -
Top 100 Herbal Remedies. Good stuff.

I had a Tumblr back in '08. Because of Tumblr's relative obscurity back then, people didn't want to touch a URL with .tumblr.com attached to it. So I moved to blogger instead.
I've been opening, closing and moving blog accounts for longer than I care to count. So I'd like to settle down for a change and gather moss, so to speak. -
Besides introducing the concept and tools (software included), my educational background did little to advance my knowledge in graphic design. By today's standards, my three years of Comm.Tech (Communications Technology) at HCT amount to a 101 class.
I'd go on to what happened next, but I'm wont to ramble. Instead, I'll share something Ira Glass said in an interview I saw a couple of years ago on YouTube. It aptly and succinctly sums up what I've been going through—still going through—since graduation, even if I wasn't aware of it at the time.
"All of us who do creative work, we get into it because we have good taste. But there is this gap. For the first couple years you make stuff, it’s just not that good. It’s trying to be good, it has potential, but it’s not. But your taste, the thing that got you into the game, is still killer. And your taste is why your work disappoints you. A lot of people never get past this phase, they quit. Most people I know who do interesting, creative work went through years of this. We know our work doesn’t have this special thing that we want it to have. We all go through this. And if you are just starting out or you are still in this phase, you gotta know it’s normal and the most important thing you can do is do a lot of work … It is only by going through a volume of work that you will close that gap, and your work will be as good as your ambitions … It’s gonna take awhile … You’ve just gotta fight your way through." -
Print for fiction/non-fiction and things like art or design books. But I buy less of these because I have piles upon piles of unread books.
Audiobooks are pricey compared to print and digital, so I'm more selective about what I get. With fiction, it's mostly classics and books I feel like I missed out on. It goes without saying the reader's voice tips the buying decision scale.
Digital for reference books, and if available, art/design books. -
Good movies. What else you got?

It has been a while, hasn't it? I just had other things take priority. It's still an on-going project, only on hiatus until I find the time to resume.
-
I wish I did. Sorry. Let me know if you find a good place.

I wouldn't know where they stock old versions of Illustrator. Some vendors offer discounts on Adobe software for students if they present their Student ID. If you're looking for a free vector graphics editor, you might want to try open source software like Inkscape.
Re: Printers, depends on the type of project, but Al Suwaidi Computers on Sheikh Zayed road provide good, reasonably priced printing service. -
It's not really for me. I'm not too keen about participating in competitions. But mainly, I already have my plate full, so I wouldn't have had the time to prepare something to submit anyway.
