Yes, I make a point of it sometimes. Same reason as other books -- many someones took it upon themselves to interfere in other people's lives unasked.

They make me laugh, but I can't say that I really like them particularly.

Hope so. My husband pretty much only reads non-fiction business books.

Coraline.
Because it's not incredibly wacky or silly, but just different enough. -
I'm afraid I don't speak Turkish and Google Translate isn't doing such a great job, so I've got no idea what you're asking. Sorry!
-
Nope, afraid not. I wish there was! I'm not giving up hope, but I think it will be awhile before we know for sure. :) Thanks for asking!

On my chin. I got it from a seesaw accident and no, I'm not lying. :)

Hey Cameron! He's doing good. :-) Enjoying the warmer weather! You gotta talk to your dad about getting your passport!!

Oh.....hmmm. Well, probably Mary Poppins. Wait, was Bednobs and Broomsticks a Disney movie? I loved that one too.
Not so hidden factlet about me...I love musicals. So, yeah, probably Mary Poppins even though the movie had next to nothing in common with the books, which I also loved. -
Um, all of them? I'm kind of an equal opportunity chore hater.

I actually have a really good answer for that. Because I'm facing it now. I've got this really old stuffed frog. My mom might even have made it. It wasn't actually even one of my favorite toys, but I've had it for as long as I can remember. Well, now the material is so worn that the buckwheat it's stuffed with leaks out every time I move it. And the eyeballs are coming off. But I can't get rid of it. Especially after watching Toy Story 3!!
I'm sure there's lots of other stuff too. I'm a bit of a pack rat.
Of course, I've always had issues getting rid of stuff. I'd made a diorama once in elementary school and one piece was a wolf I'd made out of clay. The thing grew mold and I still couldn't throw it away. I finally wound up giving it a proper burial in our backyard.
So, yeah... -
Hi! I live in Grayslake. It's about an hour away from Naperville, give or take (depending on how fast you drive!). I'd love to do a signing at Anderson's, but they're pretty booked up. I've talked to them before. But hey, maybe if you mention it to them... ;-)

Hi! It's my married name. But we're probably related that way! According to my husband, there aren't that many Pauleys. His family is mainly from West Virginia, but some moved to Illinois and there are others elsewhere too.

I've got it narrowed down to finalists and have sent them out to a judging panel (my editor, the publicity lady at my publisher, my hubby, and a friend). I'm going to compile all the responses and then pick the winners!

Yep, I always wanted to write. I wrote a lot of short stories and fan fiction (Douglas Adams fan fiction...that's how big a geek I am), poetry (not all of it completely horrible). Even when I worked corporate jobs (which I did for quite a few years after college), I always wrote (and read!) as much as I could. I certainly don't miss the corporate stuff now though!

Oh, that's a tough question. I feel like I knew more about what I was doing and where I wanted to go with Still Sucks. So in a lot of ways it was easier. But Sucks to Be Me was the first book I ever finished, so there was a lot of blood, sweat, and tears that went into it. Of course, it was also very nerve wracking...especially when I was in revisions and it seemed like everyone and their sister had written a vampire book (this was in 2005, before Twilight, but around the time I was seeing ARCs of Boys That Bite and High School Bites and the Vlad books coming out).
Hmmm, so I guess I gotta go with Still Sucks as being a more enjoyable experience...after all, it was already sold, so I knew it had a home!
