Because especially in the US, things like reality TV have created a culture that rewards the whiny, drama-laden idiots with fame and money. Being understanding and helpful is not "cool" - having drama about you is. It's a stupid concept and I wish people would stop.
In addition, I also hate the current American concept of "you have to EARN my respect." As far as I'm concerned, everyone starts off at 100% in the respect department - it's up to them to lose it in my eyes, but I never start them off at 0%. That just breeds self-centered egotism, and that's pretty ugly. -
Nope. I do, however, feel bad for those who are obviously in a line of work they're not happy in. We only live once, we should seek our bliss in whatever we do.

My overall health and patience. Negativity can manifest physically - I'll be working on remembering to breathe and taking care of myself and those important to me, and ignoring those that try to mess with my Zen. It's a daily challenge but a good one to work on :)

Rude people, and those that assume the world revolves around them. We're all here together, we should look out for one another instead of trying to defeat, criticize and tear each other down. It would make the world a calmer place if we would all just stop doing that.
