Do you mean the dodge & burn technique to remove blemishes? If so, I never use that technique since I always resize my photos quite small (I think it's a technique mainly used for high resolution images).
Of course everyone gets blemishes though so when I have them I just use the healing tool. -
1) http://xkimjoanne.deviantart.com/art/Masquerade-160451645 according to my DA stats.
2) I can't pick one so I've just narrowed it down to these two:
- http://xkimjoanne.deviantart.com/art/Skin-Like-Porcelain-140463055 The background for this was a bed sheet which was very creased, it took some time while editing to make the background as it is.
- http://xkimjoanne.deviantart.com/art/Peculiar-144172018 The doll joints were a challenge for me. -
If it's just something only I can personally change then I'll say eat a bit more healthier since I live on chocolate & toast.
-
I've strayed away from photos recently so I haven't browsed through any art on DA etc.
-
I'm not listening to any music at the moment, so does the TV count?

I'd say it would have to be something creative so probably drawing.
As for why I just enjoy seeing the finished result of anything in general knowing that I've spent a lot of time on it & put in a lot of effort.
Sometimes though with drawing I haven't got the patience especially when shading something realistic, I've got drawings of people & animals I started probably as far back as a year ago (or even longer) that I still haven't finished. I haven't got much confidence in my drawing skills so I think that's why I don't finish most of the drawings I've started but I guess that if I was 'expert' at it I'd actually finish them! -
I've had a few comments saying that my photos look like paintings which I'm guessing is because of the editing, I'd like them to look more realistic but maybe the 'painted effect' is just the style of my photos.

It's called damask.

I rarely use Twitter to be honest, I joined it then just left it alone. I thought people will have better things to do than to read updates about my life or whatever else I say aha.
I'd follow you on there. :)
..but this is anonymous so I don't know who you are! -
I guess I could do yea, I'll make one soon. :)
-
I've been a bit delayed because of various things but I'm back working on them now. They're so time consuming especially since I'm fussy about the little details, spelling/grammar, making sure it's actually understandable etcetera.. it shouldn't be long before they're on DeviantArt though.
-
At the moment I take my photos in JPEG format simply because I've got used to that from using normal digital cameras in the past. I've done a little bit of research about RAW format but I don't quite understand it fully so, for now, I'm happy with JPEG. I've read RAW is a lot better for editing in Photoshop, maybe I should start considering that.

Either with money given/presents on birthdays or Christmas, when I'm eventually successful with getting a job I'll be buying loads of things I've wanted for ages though.
-
I've got two things on my wish list equipment wise at the moment; proper background rolls & a ring flash adapter for my speedlite (not the proper thing since it's too much money, I'm just intrigued to try the ring flash).
-
I've got a 18-55mm lens which came as the kit lens with my Canon 400D, I rarely use this lens anymore to be honest. My main two lenses which I use are the 50mm f/1.8 II & a 24-85mm f/3.5-4.5 USM.

Aww, thank you. :)
To be honest sometimes it can be a bit frustrating since I can't see exactly how much of me will be in the photo, it's pretty much take the photo & hope it came out ok aha. If possible I do place a mirror behind the camera so, on the screen, I can see the photo taken straight away without getting up to keep checking. -
I don't smoke or drink alcohol so I'm not sure if that contributes to it, of course my skin isn't perfect though since I get blemishes just like anyone else. Makeup helps to cover up blemishes & Photoshop helps for photos too.
-
Oh thanks, hey. :)
& I'm just a little bored at the moment but I'm good thanks, you? -
Thank you! Sometimes long hair's annoying but other times I like it. I only do the basics to look after it which is wash, condition & brush.
