First, listen to Born This Way. Like, REALLY listen to it. Pull up the lyrics and read along.
Second, brand names do notttt define who a person is. You can find pieces just like at Urban Outfitters and Abercrombie at cheaper stores. You're basically paying for the brand name there.
The media doesn't make people feel any better about themselves unless they're a size -3 and can afford Chanel toothpaste. You have to think realistically. Most of the time when people look at themselves in the mirror, they see themselves 3 times bigger than they actually are. This is where that comparison question comes into play. Stop comparing yourself to the other girls in school because to be quite blunt, you'll never be them. It takes time to learn to love yourself, but you're the way you are because you're perfect that way. I don't mean to sound like a hallmark card, but it's true. Self acceptance is the first step to loving yourself.
So, go jam out to Born This Way and start to look on the brightside of things. I'm always here to talk if you need it<3
