LOL I would hope they'd let me know who they are so I could say hi to them at AUSA :) I will say I'm very flattered when people enjoy what we produce so much, it kind of blows me away (in that particular case, it really blows me away!) I've never been creeped when people respond so positively to our stuff, there have been other instances where the tone of certain responses does creep me out, but generally I'm very grateful to have our work appreciated. So thank you to that person ;) And I hope they keep enjoying!

When it comes to I'm Not OK, nothing has been sketched out vastly ahead of time. It's not like Sins, or EoD or Chasing/Dragon; we haven't been laying the groundwork and outlines years in advance. We're flying by the seat of our pants on this thing and that's part of why we love it.

In regards to B, the timeline made it so it was possible. As you'll see in End of Days, B's life in the NY/NJ area is rather colorful, and the fact that we knew he was in the area once we figured out when I'm Not Okay would be set, then it was sort of a no-brainer he would make an appearance. How, when, why, that just came in the process. A lot of the appeal for us in Not OK is the spontaneity of the plot line. We know some things, but it's really a total discovery in totally new territory on our parts. We realize things are going to happen very shortly before they do in many situations (with the exception of the few obvious givens regarding A's father and Wammy's House for instance.)

The decision to write I'm Not Okay, and the amount of pre-planning that went into it basically happened in the same 8-hour period LOL We opened the gates and we're letting it loose.

I think there is something readers should know, that while Death Note is lurking there in the shadows, and obviously A has run-ins with those who will greatly influence him in the current plots, this is his story, not theirs. There are quite a few familiar characters, canon and OC who will show up, but this story isn't about them.

Not Okay is going relatively faster than all the others. We're that excited about it, yes. And if you haven't heard the other bit of news surrounding it, there is also a companion anthology of short stories in the works that connect NOK to End of Days from another character's POV. That's being written as we speak (so yea, we're writing two things at once.. ok actually I am, cause it's been all me thus far and I'm totally involved in it).

That said, at this time, we don't know when we're going back to Sins, but I can say that Sins WILL benefit from this break. It was feeling drawn out and stale to us, which is no fun for anyone. Not for us writing and not for you guys reading because the writing reflects it. Once we get this breath of fresh air with Muse and company, we'll go back and hopefully you'll thank us for it. ;)

Of course. :) Maru and I saw it opening weekend. Would've been there opening night if not for my silly work schedule.

I enjoyed it, but I definitely have some qualms with it. There were things that were changed that shouldn't have been changed. Fred's death shouldn't have been glossed over. That made me angry. To have a brief flash and then a just as brief show of grief in the hall? Not good enough considering the powerful scene JKR wrote into the story. The whole end scene also shouldn't have been changed. I understand the one-on-one battle thing, but at the same time, no, it should've been in front of everyone. Here Harry finally does the one thing he's set out to do all this time and NO ONE GETS TO SEE IT! That's so stupid. There isn't even any show or victory. And the explanation regarding the wands in retrospect? Lame. I was seriously disappointed with that end sequence, because while yea, it looked cool, it shouldn't have been changed. There was no need for it. :|

It's been a while since my last clash with fandom Matt. I once explained my issues in a post on Deviantart that pretty much fleshed it all out, it's pretty old now but I guess it encapsulates where my problems were at the time, so I'm just going to copy/paste that rant to clarify for your question. Lately, I can't truly be bothered with fandom as we've moved away from a lot of canon wank:

My larger problems with Matt are the ways in which he's perceived in fandom--and mind you this is coming from a strictly Team Kira vantage point--that in order to compensate for canon's utter lack of him, fandom pushes all other characters aside and gives Matt the primary spotlight over the main protagonists. Which is what fandom does, -granted and understandable- but that word then becomes gospel, and suddenly Matt fans are running amuck with holier-than-thou fandom perceptions which takes the minor video-game playing techie, puts the gun in his hand to shoot Kira and usurp L's brilliance--since appartently the only reason he isn't L is because he didn't bother to try-- again, fandom's choice, but it's practically made canon and both Kira and L are utterly sold short like they didn't even exist.

Which is great for Matt fans, until it sloshes over into Kira territory--and all I see from many Matt fans is Light constantly getting dumped on, dumbed down, written off, people proclaiming that he doesn't have a chance against an angry Mello or a uber-hyped Matt--he's bitched out and ground down and I'm just utterly sick of it. Especially since it's fandom centric, and if we took canon Light and put him up against canon Matt well, I'm sorry, there's not a chance--Matt plays some games, does some surveillance and gets gunned down by body guards fer chrissakes and Kira never even knows who he is because he's too busy functioning as Kira *and* L for the better part of several years, when all the Wammys in the running have been fighting for that much longer to even have just a taste of L's title. In all logical theory--Light should have won.

But that's another rant for another time.

It just irritates me, because I sit there and go *What?!?* when comments via Matt fandom leak onto my pictures and all I can assume is that people read ten panels of a 12 volume manga, or must have just sat there going, 'I hate Light he's so mean and dumb' without even the slightest ability to truly comprehend the full dynamics of how brilliant a character Kira truly is--all his evil bastardness fully in tact. Same goes for L - but that's another rant for another time too.

I guess basically I'm a Kira fan irritated that the brilliant character is often eclipsed by the minor one--and while it's great that fans can take such a small role and enhance it to something story-worthy, I sometimes have to think that the reason Matt has such a huge fanbase is because people just can't grasp the true intelligence of Kira and L and so it's easier to elaborate on the character with so much working room because nothing is set in stone, than to tackle and navigate the parameters of the main anatgonists. But again, that's an ellistist perspective. Ultimately I hate seeing Kira get dumped on by a video-game punk and it happens *alot* >.>

I write on the walls. Manically. I tape up 9-12 pieces of paper on my wall and brainstorm different things that bug me. I usually fill up the sheets in 2 days, then replace them and conitnue. The things I go on about range from issues like religion or abortion, to a comparission of humanistic and behavioral pyschological theories, or even my thoughts on different foods XD

In this one, I'm trying to figure out several different things. It ranges from the assumptions of the causes of developmental disorders and how it ties into the pyschological and sociological basis of a serial killers mentality (using Charlie Manson and the Family, Ted Bundy, Jeffery Dahmer, Ed Gein, Fritz Haarman, and Harold Shipman as my examples). The behavioral aspect, that I strongly believe goes hand in hand with cognitive and sociological theories, and it's influences on society- from the perception of colors in relation to feeling, the God-complex in relation to religion, and general repression of wants due to the upbringing of the youth in certain enviorments. I think I have all of this tied into the birth, function and causes of a serial killer, as well. There's also something about defense mechanisms, the basis of boredom, and the mutual loss of a victim and a killer too, but I can't really read those parts.
Like I said, I get manic about it. I usually go 2-4 hours writing on the wall, spreading into whatever tangent my mind goes into. Sometimes, it gets a bit ridiculous and I notice that I'm writing in french or spanish or something. On this one, I notice the colors are written in french and I have a couple hieroglyphics on here on as well. The writing is sloppy since I'm moving at such a fast pace with so many different aspects going into it, so I can't normally read most of it. The only thing I gain from it is different epiphanies I come across while I'm writing.
But yeah. Everytime someone comes to my room, I always get the "What the fuck is that?....you're fucking weird" response ^^;

We're over 3,000 pages in honey, have you read them all cover to cover? Or are you only reading my formspring and trying to forumlate your opinion based on that? You can't expect the characters to stay completely static for over 3,000 pages worth of plot and development can you? How utterly boring and blah would that be? How unrealistic. Chill out. There's plenty of canon for you to partake of. Our readers know what's going on with these books and why and how they've come to the places they have.

I'm glad!! That's very cool! :D Yeah Evidence had an impact on the final chapters of 2B and Manson's music in general turned out to be the key to cracking B's character wide open in the last third of that book. Radiohead's All I Need wrote the scene in Redeemer when Light runs away from Matt & Mello to L's rescue and also in Our Time when L runs down the beach to board the plane back to England for Light's rescue.

Light doesn't separate B/Bordeaux in quite the same way that L does. Light is still very much conscious of who is really under that tan. B doesn't break character (if he can help it, we saw him break character at the very end of Our Time during the reveal), but B is still B, and Bordeaux is ultimately capable of what B is. That's how Light sees it, he's not as concerned with the illusion for the sake of the illusion, just for the sake of hiding B from Mello. As for Light's own B, I don't think we've seen the last of him...
