So you're saying that Tyler Dever completely ignored the music team stuff for making his solo album? And you know this....how?
I mean, his rate of production was pretty slow for a while, and I think he's learning FL at the moment, so I can't really blame him for a solo album or anything. And plus, he -was- still making tracks for other things too. His track for Alterniabound was cut, and I'm pretty sure he had something on Wanderers too?
Mainly, that quote is just directed at the stereotyping I have of placing people in the "make lots of music but just for themselves to keep away from the rest of the team for no reason" camp. Which is biased and silly, but it happens. -
During the summer, I work as a rehearsal pianist, and play in the pit too. Dress rehearsal week is the week in which the show opens on Friday, and we're practicing every night beforehand in the theater to get everything finalized for opening night. And dress rehearsals are exhausting.

I mean sheesh, I didn't even think a solo piano album was a good idea, but it's really been much better than I thought it would, both playing it for him and the responses to it
so what I'm saying is that I don't think that that quote is applicable to anything Dever's done -

mastering: are you kidding???? haven't touched this
overall it's happening, just slowly. also I have dress rehearsal week and a show opening on friday (not my show, just playing piano for it), so I'm gonna be busy on top of working on music (whenever that happens) -
