He's doing OK. He knows that he's making a positive difference; he's not just another white guard treating them like shit; they know he will listen to their stories, say "yes" to them if there's no reason to say no, go out of his way to help them and be a support and truly ensure their welfare. I've told him that every person he interacts with will remember it as a positive experience, if they get their Visas and they saw him on the street one day they'd remember him with good memories. The other colleagues will see the difference he makes, how much easier things are when there is mutual respect and people are treated with dignity, how much smoother things run. He can make a big difference, he is in the right place - he's been told they've waited years for an employee like him to come along.

I'm honestly SO proud of him, people might look down on him for being "wimpy" and "gay" but I tell you what, it takes a real man to fly away from his family to clear his wife of debt that she was in before she even met him, to make their lives better, and do such a confronting job for 16 hours a day 6 days a week. Whenever I'm with a friend and someone I don't like comes up and talks to my friend and I'm just awkwardly standing there.

I can't stand it when I see people throwing ANY rubbish on the ground. We ALL live on this planet and nobody has the right to litter. When I smoke, if I can't find a bin or can/bottle to put my cigarette butt in, I either put the butt back into my pack or just chuck it in a pocket. I have too much respect for others to throw it on the ground.

Good on her, and good on any mother who chooses to extend breast feed. I don't see anything wrong with it, but I, personally, would not be interested in breast feeding my children up until 3 years old, like this lady on the magazine. I think 18 months would be the maximum age for me. I just.. I'd find it weird to have a walking, talking, somewhat independent child and STILL breastfeed, I would want my body back! I don't know, extended breast feeding is just not for me. Not interested.

I don't like the whole "Are you mum enough" caption though! Like, what is that supposed to mean? To me, it's implying that mothers who don't extend breast feed, or mothers who don't breast feed at all, are LESS of a mother than those who do, and that pisses me right off. I did not breast feed, and I am a damn fantastic mother, thank you very much! ..Or am I just reading too much into the caption? :P
