      Great question!

I'll admit, I do sometimes feel vulnerable. Given that I share not-so-glossy parts of my life, I think I often can feel a bit scared when I press "publish."

However, I do have some natural gift towards being open in real life, which translates to online as well. So in part, I think I'm an open book as a part of my personality.

But ultimately, I share my story as a means of helping others who might be going through the same things that I am. That is the real reason that I share - that I might be able to help someone else on their journey is my greatest goal and really, my purpose in life. So each time I push past the fears and share, I'm doing my best to help as much as I can.

Hi Bailey! Bravo for getting married in Paris! I loved our experience so much and I always love the idea of other's doing it well.

This post explains the ceremony itself: http://jesslively.com/our-wedding-ceremony/. And no, we did not get any permits. It was just four of us (myself, my husband, our photographer, and our officient) in a quiet, semi-private-ish corner of the Luxembourg Garden. Because we were doing it in such a small, simple way that lasted about 15/20 minutes, we didn't bother getting anything official.

But we also had people walk/run by because we were out in the open. So if you want something more private maybe you might want to check into something like that? The more people you have the more I feel like you might have an issue. Though I'm personally more of the no harm done point of view on these kinds of things.

Congratulations and have a great time!

Aw! He's a Westie (Westhighland Terrier). He's doing so great now! Once he got past 5 months he really chilled out a lot. He's still energetic and independent, but so affectionate and fun as well!

Very exciting!! Though I don't have any great resources I would personally suggest (some are unreliable and others have hundreds of bag minimums which cost $$$$$ to work with. However, I did write a manufacturing email that can help get you started: http://us4.campaign-archive1.com/?u=7b49a38e9232972da983076e4&id=d3849a61b6.

      Best wishes on your business!

I use CS3 Photoshop for all my editing/giveaway. I also have a Canon Rebel for nice photos and use Instagram for other images. : )

Hi there! Thanks so much for reaching out about our Be Brave print. It has sold out and because we are closing our store on November 2nd (http://jesslively.com/why-im-closing-the-jess-lc-shop/), we are not restocking items as they sell out.

      Have a great day,
      Jess!

I'm not sure on the paint difference because I only used the paint that I used... but I can say that I did use a credit card to help smooth down the edges of the tape before painting which helped me. : ) (Also, I'm so sorry I'm responding to this so late, I just saw it now!)

Thank you so much! I did do most of the design myself, but I had my boyfriend change the coding to reflect exactly what I was looking for on makeundermylife.com. : )

For me to do my own images the way that I do, Photoshop is essential (there is a class called Blogshop which can teach you how to use Photoshop). Otherwise, I think reaching out to someone like Lisa Butler of Elembee Creative or Katelyn Brooke Designs is a great place to go that doesn't require you to have all the expensive software or knowledge.

Thanks so much! They are shower curtains from West Elm. I got them late last year, I believe. : )

It's actually Joyce Meyer. I call her Mrs. Meyer on MML because I reference her so often.

(She's a Christian preacher. However, I'm spiritual, not Christian. But I find her teachings on being a good person to be very helpful for myself.)

Thanks so much! I'm glad you like it! It's hard to say what the exact measurements are (too hard to measure by hand/the layout of the floorplan the building has is confusing). But it may be around 24' x 24' --- or could be more like 18x18 - depending on how you read the building's confusing floor plan thing. : )
