i know exactly what you are talking about. you don't even know the endless bullshit that i have to go through because i am a girl trying to succeed in a guy's world. you have to prove yourself 300%, and every single move you make will be magnified and blown up in your face. you just have to make the choice of being a professional, and just come to the realization that the discrimination is unfair. you'll have to surpass it if you want it that bad. it makes sense. most girls in this "scene" are there to get ass and look cool. the stereotype is pretty much right on. just don't let yourself fall into it, have a thick skin, and you'll be fine.

i definitely feel like orange county is one, huge bubble. luckily, i branched out, made a bunch of friends outside of my high school, and started going to shows a lot, so i was able to experience a variety of people. orange county is beautiful, and a great place to raise a family, as long as you don't get stuck in the bubble!
