What AF mode u use? Why you use that setting... ? I currently have it a its default either one shot or al servo and Evaluative. I use a 50mm 1.2 on 7D but I find dificult to get a clean image. What do u focus on? The eye?
I use One Shot most of the time and I always focus on the eyes unless I'm purposefully trying to focus on something else. Getting sharp images while shooting wide open takes some practice. And shooting at F 1.2 isn't always practical. I like to shoot on wide apertures but I'm careful to select the most appropriate settings for what I'm trying to accomplish.
