Sing the high notes you CAN hit often. Hold them. Repeat. Vocal cords get stronger like any muscle, and you can increase your range a bit by getting them in shape.

Also, consider the fact you may just be a baritone. And you'll make all the girly-high singers like me jealous of your manliness... =)

I've actually spent the most time PERSONALLY with Alice In Chains' music. Then Soundgarden, actually... As a singer, I always found their vocals/harmonies most impressive.

It's definitely mostly flattering. Only a teensy bit creepy. I suppose it's a better problem to have than the other end of the spectrum...

I'm also a relatively big MAN. I do push-ups and I own plenty of badass weapons... I mean "camping tools." So the whole "stalker" thing is a bit less of a creepy threat than I'd guess it is for a single petite thing living alone... Or maybe I'm just overly confident and sexist?

I think we all romanticize things and build people up in our heads without necessarily having the actual experience with them to back it up. We build people into what we want them to be based on assumptions, positive or negative. It's natural.

I, for example, assume Emmy Rossum is an amazing burrito chef, never has bad breath, and is superhumanly immune to the effects of PMS. What she doesn't know about ME is that I fart in bed, pick my nose at traffic lights, and I have extremely hairy Hobbit feet.
