Probably. I would have loved to have done my whole course in Japan, but having two years of grammar and translation explained bilingually really let me get into the logic of the language earlier.
As for self study, I don't think I have the discipline. -

I have moved around England! I have spent most of my life in Sheffield but I think my accent is quite southern. I don't know why :3

I guess if you don't have earthquakes where you are from it might be a pretty interesting thing! But the vast majority (like 99.99999%) of earthquakes are so small you can't really notice them anyway.
But I think everyone is lame so the answer to your question is 'yes' -
It's scary, I guess, but it's not something you can let affect your decision. Yes it's in the back of everyone's minds, as you can feel a small earthquake every few days and it is a reminder that we are due a huge one. But ultimately this country has a lot of good counter-measures and preparation in place to support us when it occurs.
So no, I guess it didn't affect my moving choice. -
Bad English T-Shirts! Yesterday I saw two in rapid succession. First a girl on the train wore one that said 'Study 'til I'm smart, Party 'til I'm sick, Sleep 'til I'm Bovine'. Then when I got off the train a man was wearing a shirt that said 'FLEMINIST'. A man who believes in equal rights for phlegm.

Because I have been busy, unfortunately! I actually put aside today (Sunday) morning to shoot one but unfortunately I lost my voice shouting at the TV during the Japan / Netherlands match!
Sadly this coming week is going to be *crazy* busy as well but if I can I will shoot a video or something! Apologies for making you wait!

Things they can't get here. Don't get food, most of it is available in some form. Something good with a relation to your country (possibly chocolate if you're European they love that stuff)

I am not a huge fan of Natto. It is hard to do Onsen videos since obviously nobody wants me wandering around with a video camera when they're naked. Maybe one day!
