I'm a disappointed optimist. I'm Charlie Brown. I see the glass and there's something in it but I'm always thirsty because the glass disappears or gets pulled out from in front of me.

Had some awfully close scrapes with tornadoes here in the last year. Some of the hurricanes from a few years ago, including Katrina, were still so powerful and large when they hit land that the storm was still organized and potent and did damage in our area, although not to the extent you saw in coastal regions. I've never lived through an earthquake.
