This Season 35,000 miles - good average for most seasons

Time varies. Cameraman and soundman with each team, cameras are HD XD Sony 700, weighing 30 lbs. Cameramen backpacks on top of that are 30lbs and soundman 70lbs - sound equipment an additional 25lbs.

Always a challenge going from city to city. Team of full-time staff that work on the logistics, permits etc. for each episode

I think it takes people skills, knowledge of the business, patience, and a lot of other factors depending on the project. Producing films in a lot of ways is different than television, or video games but I enjoy them all.

I liked the idea of a bolt hitting a bare tree and foliage sprouting as a symbol of creativity. It used to be 2 bolts with the company was Simpson-Bruckheimer.

There are a total of 5 deleted/extended scenes, they are all on disc 2 for each pack combination.

If possible we always prefer to shoot practical locations but some times you just have to rely on green (or sometimes Blue) screens to get the shot

For Pirates, we used several different VFX companies. Always work to find the best person for the job.
