Hey there, I'm definitely not taking a break, but IGF has become a little much for me right now. I haven't missed a minute of gymnastics since I last posted regularly, but being on IGF is incredibly taxing between the erratic and flippant moderation, ungodly ignorant userbase, and constant arguing. Facts don't matter there, and the admins (at least the ones who still visit the board) seem to encourage childish discussion techniques and making sure people's feelings aren't hurt and hands are held over intelligent conversation. I've been back a little recently, but I feel like I'm outgrowing it at this point.
Of course, this doesn't change anything about how I feel about gymnastics. I'm still a diehard devotee and will sneak in a few routines at work every day when no one else is by my desk ;). I'm always here to make friends, though, so if you'd like to talk outside the forum, by all means, PM me and either we'll FB or chat or something. -
EF was better, but the scoring was tighter. She could have won if she didn't have the off-direction hop on her dismount.

There are a lot there, but that's car from all. It's a wonderful student ghetto.

Porgras was so god damn overrated. If she were American or Russian, she would be B-team at best.
A FULL TWISTING YURCHENKO IS NOT AN ELITE VAULT. -
I loved walking up and down Brighton Ave/Harvard Ave. So many fun little shops/restaurants/cafés, and that's where all the parties were, more or less. I lived in Kenmore Square, so I'd do stuff by Fenway (movies, shopping, etc.) and in Back Bay (mainly Newbury St). I highly recommend Sunset Grill in Allston for good drinks/food. It's pretty cheap and you get hooked up. I also used to intern right at the Park Street T stop and loved walking around that whole area—the north side of the park, the State House, down by Government Center, etc.
My friends that I go see now live in Brighton, so I've discovered a bunch of awesome things around there, too. And naturally, Harvard Square is the dopeNESS, and Davis Square has a lot of great stuff, too.
